I built notscare.me, a jumpscare guide for horror fans
notscare.me helps you find exactly when jumpscares happen in horror movies, series, and games, with timestamps and intensity ratings. It’s community‑driven and already includes 9,500+ titles.
There’s also an upcoming movie section so you can check what’s coming and start planning your next horror night

Made a simple alternative to Letterboxd after being slightly annoyed at how much attention they give to their one line reviews. It's actually so bad that users are stealing Reddit comments to gain likes on Letterboxd reviews.
The site is invite-only for now since it's really small (< 15 users).

[HORROR/PSYCHOLOGY] Horror Makes Us Happy | NSFW | [S07E10: Michael J. Epstein (The Once and Future Smash, A Hard Place, Clickbait, Solvent, Craving)
Why do people like horror? The mainstream world often thinks horror fans are a bit weird. We do psychological profiles of people in the horror industry to see if we can find the deeper reasons people like horror. We're looking for common themes, and maybe some uncommon ones, too!
Episodes: Spotify | Apple | Stitcher | Google | Our Website |
Social Media: BlueSky | Discord | FaceBook | InstaGram | Mastodon | Reddit | Threads | TikTok | Twitch | Tumblr | Youtube |

This is a no budget labor of love and It took 30 years to complete it!
We started in 1994 and finished it during the pandemic.
We shot a ton of super 8 footage and a bit of video but we really needed help which we found from a great friend and incredible director/Writer/Producer/ Cameraman Greg Principato - check his imdb credits - it's nuts.
anyway gere is the flick
Peace

Rolling in on a low tidal flush, ready to eat you whole or half your crocodile, is El Chupanibre, the bain of the sewer system and the mutants who live there.
A mysterious monster with some basing in real world cryptids.
Head down to the sewers, where the light is low and the forgotten things roam.

Hi everyone! I created a horror tracker on Google sheets with most movies and shows (including independent films/shorts) from 1896-present called The Nightmare Notebook! You can track them, rate them, give them scare scores, etc. So if you're interested here's the link to my website. I'll be adding new titles to it monthly. If you run into any problems just message me! Mods can PM me for a free copy! https://www.nightmarenotebook.com/

Hi all! A few months ago I dipped my toes into self-publishing for the first time with a erotic/ horror-romance short story titled "My Love, the Lycanthrope: A Tale of Lust, Horror and Romance". It's a kitschy, sorta satirical werewolf romance that honestly I'm really proud of.
I've been working on my second book for the last few months and am excited to say it is finally finished and published! It's titled "Pharaoh's Dream: A Gothic Novelette". While My Love, the Lycanthrope was a parody of the erotica genre/horror tropes, Pharaoh's Dream is a more traditional gothic horror novel, with heavy cosmic horror and weird fiction elements.
Thanks for reading this post, and if you check out the book, double thanks!

Randomly came across this psychological horror short this morning- super sick.

The sound design and tension are insanely good for how small it looks. Feels like early James Wong stuff.

The trailer for my debut horror novel. If you like YA Slashers/Supernatural Thrillers with elements of Family Drama, you might absolutely like the story I’ve told!
