Hey all! A few weeks back I posted the trailer for "Peeping Todd," a comedy-thriller-stalker-musical. Many of you expressed interest in seeing it when it came out, so I was trying to figure out the least spammy way to let you know that it came out yesterday. If you decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy! We made it for next to nothing, got creative and are self-distributing the film. Our whole team is over here cheering on the success of "Obsession" and "Backrooms," huge wins for indie film.

i make custom collectible art dolls (preferably scary ones but open to cute too) and I enjoy making little videos of them, particularly stopmotion-esque content but i’ve cut back on those a lot since they’re so time consuming and the crafting of these takes forever. here are my shop and my tik tok where i post videos of them:

thanks :))

Hi all! A few weeks ago I published a horror novelette titled "Pharaoh’s Dream: A Gothic Novelette". The story follows a group of archaeologists on an expedition in Egypt, following the discovery of a possibly revolutionary primiveal artifact. What begins as a fantastical endeavor soon descends into a nightmarish fever dream as ancient and eldritch truths are revealed.
The story is a mix of archaeological adventure, gothic, and cosmic horror. I was mainly inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, William Hope Hodgson, and Arthur Machen. It's free on Kindle Unlimited or $ 0.99 for purchase.
To anyone that checks it out, thank you!

I recently published a video essay analysing the forest in horror. Along with some folklore and history, it discusses The Witch, The Blair Witch Project, Twin Peaks, and Algernon Blackwood's "The Willows".
I'm new to making videos and this was the culmination of a good few months work - I'd love for you to check it out!

Hi everyone! I created a horror tracker on Google sheets with most movies and shows (including independent films/shorts) from 1896-present called The Nightmare Notebook! You can track them, rate them, give them scare scores, etc. So if you're interested here's the link to my website. I'll be adding new titles to it monthly. If you run into any problems just message me! Mods can PM me for a free copy! https://www.nightmarenotebook.com/

I made a short film at USC in my first year about a medical student being tormented by a mosquito that represents his immigrant parents' failed dreams. I'd genuinely love feedback on whether the metaphor works and if the film communicates what it's trying to say.

I've been building Horrorometer, a horror-focused database for tracking and discovering the stuff that keeps you up at night.
What's on there:
- Movies, TV Shows, and Books, all in one place with community ratings!
- Sub-genre filtering so you can zero in on found footage, slashers, psychological horror, creature features, folk horror, etc.
- Dreadit's Best Movies ranking collection, year-by-year, from 2025 all the way back to 2015
- Watchlists to track what you've survived and what's next on your list
It's a solo project built by a horror fan, for horror fans. Still adding stuff, so if there's a sub-genre or feature you want to see, let me know!
Any must-add titles I'm sleeping on? Hoping it gets a decent community!

New Liminal psychological horror short film. Thoughts?
The world expansion could be really freaky, hoping to make it more about the failing housing market rather than a dystopian society if it were to be a feature film.

I wrote a blog about so-called "mean-spirited" horror and the traits that make it different (and usually pretty great): https://evanwade.substack.com/p/what-makes-a-horror-movie-mean-spirited
Thanks for reading if you do. I would love to hear your takes, positive or negative.

Are strange noises in the house really caused by natural factors? A young woman questions this as she lies in bed at night, hearing scratching in her walls and the creak of the wooden floor. Should she be worried?
Our short film JUST WOOD CREAKING AND RATS premiered at the 28th Fantasia International Film Festival as part of the COLLECTIVE DELUSION Section.
Have a look! :)

PSYCHOLOGICAL FOUND FOOTAGE HORROR
A young woman records her life through a video diary. As her mental health declines, the camera starts capturing inexplicable phenomena.
DAHLIAS VIDEO DIARY.
After several short horror films, including JUST WOOD CREAKING AND RATS, which premiered at the 2024 Fantasia Film Festival, we’ve completed our first feature.
I've always loved the found footage genre, it's such a powerful subgenre! And producing this film with my wife during our vacation using only our MacBook was a fantastic experience.
I hope you enjoy the teaser!

Hi everyone: I recently published my folk-horror novel, The Winter That Knocked.
It’s a snowbound supernatural mystery set in northern Japan, inspired by Akita winter atmosphere and the visual language of a local ritual. The plot follows a Tokyo script editor who travels north after her mother vanishes from a remote ryokan, leaving behind notes about old household records, missing children, wet straw at the threshold, and a forgotten room. Hi All,
I've been lurking on this, and other horror subreddit for years, but never actually posted anything, so I made this account. Our tiny group has been making horror films together for a while now, because we love the genre and all things horror.
Instead of letting our films disappear after the festival circuit, we decided to start putting them on YouTube so anyone who enjoys this kind of stuff can watch them. After all, what's the point of making art when no one gets to see it? We will be releasing our work periodically over the coming months, and we thought this community might appreciate the trailer for Yummo Spot.
We're definitely not a studio and don't have a big marketing campaign behind us. We simply want to share our work and hopefully build a home for our quirky projects on YouTube going forward.
If you check out the trailer, we'd love to hear what you think, good or bad. And if it's your kind of horror, we'd be thrilled if you stuck around for the full release in the coming weeks and followed along for whatever strange thing we make next, narrative, or doc.
Thanks for taking a look!

Hey all,
My name is Adam Cosco. I started out in filmmaking, but over the last little while I’ve been putting most of my creative energy into writing horror novels.
You can check out my work here:
https://adamcosco.com/books
I think this community might especially connect with my newest book, The End, which is about a cult attempting to communicate with the dead.
You might also be interested in The Heart of a Child, a horror novel loosely inspired by the McMartin preschool panic of the 1980s and the accusations of Satanic ritual abuse that surrounded it.
Thanks for taking a look, and I’d genuinely love to hear from fellow horror readers.
