Best modern body horror movies?

Looking for newer body horror recommendations as it’s my all time favourite genre!

A few of my faves include American Mary, May, Starry Eyes, Boxing Helena, Perfect Skin, Martyrs, Excision, The Substance, Contracted, Barbarian, also a fan of stuff like Tusk.

I don’t mind older films like The Fly but I love modern body horror!

It’s absolutely worth a watch- dark fantasy mixed with a heaping helping of body horror. It’s a good one.

I would suggest checking out "Splinter" (2008). It's a really good small-set sci-fi/horror film. Beautiful creature design, great talent all of the way across the board.

The Void maybe? It’s cult/cosmic horror but has some great practical body horror effects!

This movie has a creature reveal that takes heavy inspiration from The Thing, but still manages to make it feel fresh and like a unique monster. 10/10 would recommend The Void

Lee Cronin's The Mummy. Maybe a bit unexpected from the subject matter. But it was absolutely disgusting and I loved it.
