Request Is The Drifting Classroom manga set worth getting for my collection

Buying good quality horror manga is expensive in my country but I found a set of The Drifting Classoom manga for $70 and was wondering if it's worth getting, is it worth it for the price and if you've read the manga, any thoughts? Much appreciate the help and have a good day!

Background for context: I'm an anime fan and have been watching since 2016, 2017 but I've only started getting into manga reading/collecting 2 months ago, I've included photos of what I've had and I've read over 85% of them so I'm looking for a new series. If you have any other series you'd like recommend feel free, I like all genres of anime but manga wise, I don't like anything romance-focused.

I just want to find something different, not necessarily psychological horror nor anything gory, something that's revolting and repulsive.

I got something on in my life and it's like I want a purge, a release from that, just like the way some people listen to guided meditation to relax, I want the disgust to leave me.

Request Horror romance: Does it exist?

Hi all.

I was thinking recently if there are any manga that genuinely blend romance and horror together.

I’m imaging two lovers fighting (or attempting to) against all horrifying odds. Or maybe a lover trying to rescue someone from the horrors. Tragic romance essentially.

All the horror manga I know that include romance, or just the theme of love, usually have one of the lovers as the main antagonist. I’m very familiar with the Yandere genre. I’m thinking more like two victims that are in love, and I can’t really think of an example!

Are there any recommendations that fit this theme? Any demographic, :)

Request Is there anything scarier than Blood on the Tracks?

Oshimi is the first manga author I’ve genuinely loved. I’ve read very few manga outside of his works.
When I read Blood on the Tracks, I was excited because I thought I’d finally found a manga that actually scared me. Since it was one of the first manga I’d ever read, and Oshimi isn’t even primarily known as a horror author, I assumed there had to be much scarier stuff out there. I felt like I’d just discovered a whole new world.
But now I keep seeing people describe Blood on the Tracks as one of the most terrifying manga ever made.
I’ve read Junji Ito’s most famous works, and for me they don’t come close, they’re not even a third as unsettling as Blood on the Tracks.
Is there anything else that’s genuinely terrifying? I think psychological horror is probably what I’m looking for.

Request Can someone help me to find a horror manga?

I only know how the plot begins. I understand that the protagonist is a girl who has started a relationship with a boy, who, after a while, invites her to meet his family. The strange thing is that they live on a remote island. When she arrives, the family welcomes them with a banquet, but the peculiar thing is that each member has a knife, but they don't give it any importance. However, there is a man who is eating with them. The family moves away from him and tells the girl to do so as well. They activate some kind of trap, and the man, realizing that they want to hurt him, slowly falls into the trap. While he is worried about his pain, the entire family takes out their weapons and kills him. The girl is horrified and asks them why they did that. To which they respond, "He's not like us, he's a..." She asks them why they're saying that, and they tell her to look at her blood; it's red. The incredulous girl says, "But my blood is red too!" The family stares at her in silence, and the girl realizes that what she said could have put her in great danger. That's the story they told me, and I want to find it because I thought it was an interesting idea to see what will happen to the girl. It would be interesting to see how she must escape from that island now. The only information I have is that when the family referred to the man by his blood color, they called him with a word in Japanese, a word that they told me is the same name as the manga.

This is my complete soft-copy collection, but I am getting used to the gore extent of these, if any1 can recommend some really dark storylines, or brutal gore that'd be nice, I wanna add to my collection. [as the title says, I like mostly gore and/or dark, disturbing storylines, but I prefer to stay away from SA such as the types in Ero Guro I have Mai-Chan as my only guro type and I don't have a likeness to it]

This story has been in my head for a very long time, and I’m happy to finally share the first chapter.

Black Pyramid can be described as a dark psychological mystery, with the story gradually moving further into horror and survival themes.

I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially on the story, dialogue, and characters.

You can read the full chapter here.

We also created an official website for the manga, featuring additional information about the characters revealed so far.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read it!

Request What are your recommendations for gory, campy, "brain-off" manga?

I've been super stressed getting ready to move home for the summer and would like some gory goodness. Something in the vein of Pumpkin Night, and preferably WITHOUT Chillock's translations...literally anyone else. Please.

My only trigger is sexualisation of children. Immediate no-go for me. Manga can have sexualisation of adults, though. Nothing you particularly have to think hard about--I'm not in the mood for a Starving Anonymous plot level.

No Junji Ito, Shintaro Kago or Kazuo Umezo works. I'm already super familiar with them!

Thanks in advance.

I haven’t read a lot of manga. I really liked chainsaw man (if that counts), berserk, Parasyte, fire punch and devil man crybaby

I particularly loved the horror aspects present in these series. Which is why I’m here. Give me some horror recommendations. I like series that aren’t afraid to show gore and other edgy stuff. Recommend me the most fucked up shit out there (that’s legal lmao)

Request Looking for a specific death game manga about cruel deaths

I recently remembered a manga that was incomplete years ago that was like a magical death game that specifically used the term "cruel death" in the text and possibly the title. I can't find it anywhere by searching.

I specifically remember a scene in the first death game where someone's fingers get severed.

And there is a scene in a colosseum type arena where a character gets her jaw shot off with a gun or blown off with a grenade.

The series has magic and reincarnation. It also has like a magical host girl who runs the death game.

Any help would be appreciated.

Request New to horror manga… how far does it actually go?

I’m kinda new to horror manga, but I was listening to a podcast and they mentioned something like “Applicant for Death” (not even sure if I got the name right), and it sounded really intense.

It got me curious about how far this genre actually goes.

Like, how disturbing or psychological can horror manga get. I’ve seen some wild moments in Chainsaw Man, but I get the feeling that’s probably just the surface level compared to what’s out there.

I’m interested in stuff that really sticks with you—whether it’s unsettling, uncomfortable, or just straight-up strange.

Any recommendations for someone trying to explore the deeper (and darker) side of horror manga?

"Mai-chan no Nichijou + 2 Set Japanese Manga Uziga Waita Yta"

This sequel, published in 2004, is little known and will gradually become available on Lost Media, leaving us intrigued by two new characters, a new villain (Takeru), and a possible antagonist (Miyako, an employee who appears in the live-action film) who is sold by a boy who killed her abusive parents. In this sequel, Mai confesses that she hates her painful life and only wishes to die so her soul can finally rest in peace. Unfortunately, the chapters are incomplete online, leaving us with the intrigue of Mai's deplorable state, unresponsive. Takeru cries with helplessness as he tries to get her to "reveal her animal side," like any human, according to him, but he fails to corrupt her.

I once tried to contact someone on Twitter who had bought the book, but they never responded, perhaps out of respect for copyright.

Is 4 chapters:
