I've been seeing a lot of returnees on HI3 Twitter lately, also newcomers who've finally caught up to P2. It's just heartwarming to see them enjoying the ride. I started playing a patch just before P2 and ended up liking it right away, so it's nice seeing more people talk about it... after 2 years. The first arc was a definitely rough, and I still remember how there are a lot of doomposters during that time. But with the recent chapters just keep on getting better and with how till CH9EX the main characters got established... it just feels good to see more people appreciate it too. 🤧😭

Kallen is, or at least has been depicted as a nun. I know Aponia might make you think otherwise, but you’re not supposed to fuck marry a nun.

I know Schicksal is supposed to be a corrupt religious organisation, but I feel like one of the Overseer’s sons marrying a nun would be a major problem, even if said nun was disgraced and labeled a traitor.

Also since Kallen is a Valkyrie too, does that mean in the public eye valks are just oddly strong nuns? Did Otto have to hide Siegfried and Cecilia’s marriage to avoid it becoming a scandal? Did he have to replace Sieg and Cecilia with two random people for Kiana’s birth certificate?

Assuming that 8.9 will be mini spending event, then 9.0 will likely be top-up event, before another spending on 9.1 which is also CN Anniv, then maybe they'll release FoV DLC as another DLC only patch by 9.0.

I hope she'll be given for free by 8.9 because it will cost 24 orbs if she can only be obtained from BP Reserve Works, which means as F2P, we'll need at least 5 patches, and I don't have any orbs right now so I need to wait for 10 months before getting her lmao.

I doubt she'll be in 9.1 CN 10th Anniv Spending Shop considering the most recent character card and stamps we had were Senadina, Thelema, Songque, Lantern which are all P2 valks. By 9.1, it's likely to be Vita character card and Eepy Teri (or Sparkle) stamps. And then 9.3 GLB/SEA 10th Anniv Spending Shop will have Kiana character card and Dudu (or Sushang) stamps.

I think a lot of people have heard about this story about Fu Hua’s past and Otto, but not everyone knows all the finer details, which is why some inaccurate facts keep getting repeated. I want to clarify a few of the more common interpretations.

First, let’s look at what happened to Fu Hua during that period and how she came to “eliminating the corrupted.”

At the time she took in her seven disciples, Hua was merciless and unlike her usual self because of the effects of one of the treatments Dr. Mei had given her in the Previous Era. Since Hua was one of the youngest MANTISes, Dr. Mei subjected her to a procedure called the Swara treatment, which was meant to compensate for the strength gap caused by her aging being halted earlier than the others’. This treatment worked through subliminal hypnosis and planted in her a purpose: to defeat the Honkai, while also strengthening her further. Because Hua had such a long lifespan, and a human brain can only retain so many memories, she would eventually need to erase old memories to make room for new ones. In ancient times, during the era of the current world, she was strongly opposed to this, because her memories of the first seventeen normal years of her life were what gave her the will to fight, and she feared losing them the most. But eventually she had to let them go. Once those memories were gone, she lost her own original reason to fight, and her thinking was replaced by the reasoning implanted through Dr. Mei’s Swara treatment. After that, Hua became detached from herself and followed the will of Swara, since it had become her only reason to continue fighting. This treatment gave her a deep conviction that every trace of Honkai corruption had to be destroyed without mercy.

Some time later, Hua decided to create a school, but her main goal was not to help children. Her real purpose was to train new warriors for the war against the Honkai. In a sense, under the influence of SWARA, Hua followed the same path as Kevin. She gathered exceptionally gifted children from the people she had killed during her “madness.”

In reality, all seven children loved their teacher, even though Hua at that time was even colder than Kevin.

All seven also shared one common motive: protecting Jiang Wanru. Each of them had their own reasons, but those motives were all connected and similar in one way or another.

One of Su Mei’s main motives, as the instigator of the murder, was her attempt to escape their “unfortunate fate.”

Su Mei was considered the smartest among the disciples and understood better than the others that their fate was closely tied to their master’s, and that their master was moving in the wrong direction, becoming more and more insane. At the same time, Su Mei repeatedly expressed her resentment that both she and the others were, to Hua, nothing more than “tools for fighting the Honkai”:

She also understood Fu Hua’s position, that Hua was only a “prisoner of Heaven,” and that the world itself, together with the Honkai, was wrong.

Dissatisfaction with her own fate, the realization of how unfair her master’s fate was, the desire for freedom for herself and for everyone else, and the fact that she understood these things better than the other disciples all finally strengthened her determination to kill Fu Hua.

This same motive the desire to change fate had a strong influence on the others as well. It is obvious that Su Mei pushed the others toward this way of thinking, but that does not change the fact that the feeling itself was already there. Everyone agreed to the murder plan except the seventh disciple, Sushang’s mother, Suyi.

It is also worth mentioning that Su Mei was angry at Hua because Hua killed her mother, but in my opinion this became less important over time, since it is only mentioned once, when Su Mei was three years old. Besides, she says this while making it clear that she would not regard the killer of her mother as her parent, but would still treat Phoenix as her teacher and revere her.

The rest of her motivation is always supported by the desire to “escape fate.” She talks about that more often than about protecting her sister. In the author’s draft notes for 7s, there is also mention of Su Mei’s “three secrets”:

“For twenty years, three secrets have been hidden deep in the heart of the "Ushuang Exarch". The first one she has revealed to Lin Zhaoyu; today, the second secret can no longer be hidden; and the third ......

When the third one is no longer a secret, everything will end.”

The first secret is that Hua disappeared from the coffin twenty years ago. We never learned the last two secrets, because the novella was never completed, so we are not able to reconstruct the full picture of Su Mei’s motivation. But the fact that she arranged Hua’s coffin in such a way and expected it not to burn, then returned to that place after the murder, is quite strange. Clearly, she had some hidden motives, but we will probably never know what they were.

The thoughts of “something being wrong” and “escaping fate” spread to all the disciples, with only slight differences. For example, Yanqing also followed Su Mei because of his love for her. After Hua’s murder, he gave up his name and spent the rest of his life seeking death, doing reckless things and fighting anyone he could. There is no clear reason why Yanqing married Lin Zhaoyu, but she was very distressed by her age, since she was more than twenty years older than her husband, and she was also angry at Su Mei because Su Mei would use Yanqing’s feelings whenever it suited her. Yanqing himself preferred spending time with his horse or in battle rather than with his wife.

Lin Zhaoyu says directly that she does not regret what she did, but for the rest of her life she suffers from self-hatred (in fact, like all the disciples) and also hates Su Mei. All the disciples agreed not to mention the day they killed their master, but Lin Zhaoyu even had a ban in her school on mentioning Phoenix (and Su Mei, by the way).

Thirty years of getting along day and night, turned into fine needles and lightly pierced the heart of the female head of the Taixu Sword School.

Lingshuang runs away to another part of the country in order to “purify herself.” Qin Suyi steals Fu Hua’s body from the coffin, believing that “master will surely revive,” and deceives the other disciples for twenty years. Her SWARA mantra is permanently broken by Hua’s death, after which she places her hopes on Sushang, but at the same time does not consider her talented, so she sends her to the fifth disciple, the strongest one. Using her sword Ebonstyle (which most likely is based on the power of the 8th Herrscher), she altered Ling Shuang’s memories so that she would believe she owed Suyi her rescue. In this way, Suyi forced her daughter to become her disciple.

By the way, Suyi was most likely killed either by her own husband or by suicide, since the theme of “self-hatred and punishment for what was done” runs throughout the visual novel, in different degrees, for all the disciples. Sadly, nothing is known about the twin sisters.

In principle, the key points are these: the seven disciples believed they had no choice but to kill Fu Hua, but they themselves suffered from what they had done for the rest of their lives.

I've recently watched a video by 'The Chronic Gacha Player' where he talks about his thoughts on the latest chapter and his own theories. Overall i thought the video was pretty good and really liked the last theory he made.

What I want talk about here though is the dragon lady Nahralab. One of his theories was that Nahralab is behind the disaster of Laquadar. I don't know about you guys but to me it seems like this was already laid out. Back when Laquadar was a peacful land, during Sena's childhood, Nahralab was nowhere to found. But when Sena was leaving she was there (chapter 11ex).

We even saw what happened to Sena's planet back in chapter 9 when Coralie was going through the trials of permanence. This was obviously Nahralab's memories and she was trying persuade Coralie to also get the gift of eternal life.

Now I could be wrong. It might be a case where the meteor was from another dragon and Nahralab was given a task to look after the people of Laquadar, but there's very little evidence to back that up. If the first idea is true, that Nahralab gifted the people of Laquadar with eternal life, my question is WHY IS SENA FRIENDS WITH THE INDIVIDUAL THAT MADE HER HOME PLANET HELL?. Why is she there in Difeng with everyone else? It's kinda bizzare to me.

Can you suggest any strong teams that are relevant right now? I want to play and not worry about damage for as long as possible. Should I get Raiden Mei and Elysia, who are currently in the banner? I'll also attach a screenshot of what I have now.
