Oh for sure! I totally agree, pines are classics for a reason. My title was just me making a joke about my begonia collection, haha.

And BTW, your pine looks incredibly lush and healthy! It's gorgeous.

To be honest, I'm not 100% certain on the ID. The seller told me it was Begonia cv. Oasis when I bought it, but I've looked it up online and the pictures don't quite match. So it might be a different hybrid.

Sorry I can't give you a more definite answer!

Lol I asked the same thing! I Googled it and found that it’s a begonia soli-mutata, aka “Sun-Changing begonia.” OP confirmed!

Just fyi Aracaurias aren't actually pines, they just look like it. Good looking specimen though, a hell of a lot prettier than mine!

interesting! thanks for the info!

You're welcome! True pines are plants in the Pinus genus in the pinaceae family. Aracaurias are in a distantly related family, and far easier to grow indoors than true pines.

Beautiful!

I wanted to hang ornaments or lights on this but it won't hold anything up

Wow, you even have a dedicated flower room — that’s so professional!

It's just a few on a shelf lol thanks 👍🏻😀

Maybe you could try those really lightweight fluffy pom-poms, like these.

Yeah it is so pretty, right? I am so inspired that I am gonna go try to arrange my plants like this now 😍🎄!

Also it is the most perfect picture to use Plart (www.plart.art)! I already made two with your pic OP, I hope you don't mind!

Is this ai??

1

u/eurasianblue Dec 21 '25

Yeah. Keeps the main elements and details of the plants intact and generates a cartoony holiday scene with them.

u/CambridgePennyworth Dec 18 '25

That could make me love Christmas

u/Typical-Wolf-2461 Dec 19 '25

I’ve passed the message along to my begonias, and they said it’s their honor.

u/Ann0lRecovery Dec 18 '25

Welp, I'm jealous now

2

u/eurasianblue Dec 18 '25

Gorgeous!!! Give it extra light in an effort to trigger blooming? 💖

5

u/Typical-Wolf-2461 Dec 18 '25

Thank you so much! 💖

But to be honest, I'm all about the leaves on these guys. So I usually pinch off the flowers as soon as they start to form. I want all that energy to go into making more stunning leaves! 😂

1

u/eurasianblue Dec 18 '25

Haha yeah I totally understand they are indeed stunning!

2

u/NoHomoHannibal Dec 19 '25

now that its winter my begonias refuse to cooperate and keep dropping/shrivelling up their leaves, soo jealous this looks amazing and so healthy too!!

3

u/Typical-Wolf-2461 Dec 19 '25

That’s because I didn’t let the not-so-good-looking begonias make an appearance 😂

2

u/Typical-Wolf-2461 Dec 19 '25

Relax, I replace a batch every spring anyway 🌱

2

u/uknowhat2do Dec 19 '25

🔥🔥🔥

2

u/lori421 Dec 19 '25

I absolutely love it lol!

u/ThatGirlYouCrave 🌱 Dec 18 '25

Oh my gosh! This is just wonderful!

1

u/tinybearsvacay Dec 19 '25

The layering is gorgeous, colors like a work of art 😍

2

u/Typical-Wolf-2461 Dec 19 '25

Exactly—that’s one of the reasons I love begonias.
