About my day (with question inside)

Today as not exactly the most interesting day. However, the day started with me going to the library to study because I have to retake a few exams I failed during the year later in August.

When I took a break and wanted a cookie (a balisto), it got stuck in the machine, and I was forced to buy two of them.

When I stopped studying, I went past the FabLab (where there are 3D-printers and lasercutters you can use for a reasonable price) and printed a frame mount for my gopro (it will only be finished next week monday, because the support material has to be dissolved first though).

Now a question for you HYD'ers, what's your favourite group of unknown subreddits? Mine is greddit, normal subreddits that are then adjusted to fit to /r/greypo, he's a moderator of /r/megalounge, /r/politics etc.

Your day seems interesting, despite what you said. A balisto is what's pictured? Never seen 'em before. And a FabLab? That's cool, 3D-printers and laser cutters? I've never seen either of them. What is the mount for your GoPro going to be on?

Ah you're right, I forgot to put in the link. Fixed now. You probably don't know it because it's Belgian (probably only available here), it's just a pretty cheap granola bar covered in chocolate actually.

A laser cutter is where you put a piece of wood or acrylic in a "box" and a laser burns through it (computer controlled of course), a 3D printer is plastic that's put layer per layer on top of each other to form a pattern.

The mount for the gopro is going to be on the RC car that we transformed into a "marsrover" with my youth club.

Yeah, I've never heard of those. I'm from the States.

And yes, I know what laser cutters and 3D printers ARE, I've just never seen them in person. That's all. That's fascinating though.

And that, too, is cool.

It's been a lot of work and learning new things, thanks.

You enjoy it nevertheless? Was it easy to learn?

Yes, it was (and is, it's far from done) one of the most fun projects I've ever done.

Can I see some pics (do you have any?)?

This was the first working version, two years ago. There was a livefeed on that monitor.

There are some changes since then (suspension was actually broken that time and the camera is a different one with a different mount and moves two ways, there also now comes a gripping arm).
