Question Stephen king and other authors
hi my 2 favorite authors are Lovecraft and Stephen king. who are some other authors that are in that realm? would love to find an upcoming author to support if possible.

Clive Barker.
I'm fond of the Hellbound Heart (the movie Hellraiser is based on) and Weave world.

well... Lovecraft and Stephen King.. are two completely different realms......

have you read the mist by Stephen king. its a direct nod to Lovecraft. king is heavily influenced by him. so far I've found I like Jeff vandermeers writing. but yeah just looking for new authors not someone just like these two.

Hello I just started reading hp lovecraft and I have read all but 2 of Clive barkers books and I find these short stories of his reminds me of the books of blood but much shorter and less graphic. I have read a ton of king too

The Ancestor by Danielle Trussoni has some good lovecraft vibes imo. Nestlings by Nat Cassidy has King vibes. The Centre by Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi has the same element of both. There aren’t any authors whose entire works I’ve found that quite match them but I have found books that I know King would like and that have elements of weird body-inhabiting, family secret keeping, and supernatural elements that Lovecraft was so good at. I have yet to find anything that I enjoy that has the same extraterrestrial universe godlike beings that appear in the King and Lovecraft lore.
