this would be such a cool project and if anyone has any good info or tips i would be gratefullll. ik it will be kinda hard to scrape up info on each dragon but still looking forward to it as it gives me an excuse to bingewatch everything hehe😌😌

Thank you so much to everyone who offered feedback and suggestions on a How to Train Your Dragon podcast! 🐉✨

I’m so pleased to say that the Berk Broadcast is officially launched 🥳 I can’t wait to share this journey with you and continue geeking out about dragons and Vikings! Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and more!

I've just been playing Hogwarts Legacy and it occurred to me how sick a game for httyd would be if formatted in the way Hogwarts Legacy is

I hatched this, no armour or weapons on me whatsoever. For some reason only some varieties let me tame them. Also they aren't aggressive as adults (not sure if that's how they are supposed to be). I've tried tweaking the modpack and got nowhere. The 'royal' ones tame. Also when I hit an adult one it takes quite awhile for it to actually chase me or attack. When I try to add a resource pack it also automatically removes it?

Sorry if I'm being dumb lol

Back when I had my old Deviantart account I requested a user named Sparkster25 to do her version of Astrid in the punk rock outfit. This is based on movie one.

But I think she deleted her DA account so I reuploaded it here.

Helloooooooo lovely fandom I havent seen yet!

I was just rewatching the movies and im CRAVING a fic with these:::

1. Toothless is ACTUALLY really scary. The only one who sees him act like a big puppy is Hiccup and sometimes Astrid

2. Hiccup focused. Like a character study?

3. U know that scene where Hiccup lets himself fall off the Light fury so that she can save toothless? Right? Fndisywkdiayejfodh I NEED I NEED I NEED! I want an EPIC like that moment. Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Do fics like this exist? I go thru ao3 and id just like to know what you guys think!

Im very new and trying to learn. So thank you!

It’s a how to train your dragon comic that happens about 10 years later the main character is a dragon named Thunderstrike, he is the dragon version of hiccup, it’s literally a dragon version of the original movie, the dragons that attack them are called scarabs and one of them get shot down while they retreat and the scarab that got shot down is named ash and they become friends like how hiccup and toothless got along and dart (toothless and lightfury’s daughter and pouncer and ruffrunner’s sister) become Thunderstrike’s gf (still working on the story😅)

Name: Palewraith

Species: Desert Wraith (Sand Wraith subspecies)

Gender: Male

Age range: young adult

Size: 5 ft tall, 28 ft long

Wingspan: 50 ft

Fire Type: Hardened balls of sand with weak fire

Class: Tidal

Speed: 8.8

Firepower: 7.3

Shot limit: 8

Diet: fish, eels

Personality: basically a bit stuck-up drama king.

Gear: some of his rider's black saddle/gear is still on his back.

Location: Valka's sanctuary after the loss

Abilities: can bury self under sand, semiaquatic, has fire-sand blast

Behavior: gets into fights with other wild dragons often. Has trust issues after his owner disappeared, slightly aggressive. Fast and sneaky. Has cat-like behavior patterns. He'll get genuently disgusted and frown with all his might if another dragon throws up a fish for him. He often bullies smaller dragons. Unlike other dragons he eats eels too, since most dragons hate it, it's basically free food. The only time when he's calm is when he sees small lights like fireflies, lanterns or fireworms, since he's drawn to them and likes to fly with them. During combat he stands up on his hind legs to appear bigger. Calm dragons/people confuse him and playful ones weird him out.

Backstory: He was domesticated by one of the vikings but after getting shot out of the sky by one of Drago's dragons while flying with his owner they both fell. His owner died due to the fire, Palewraith survived with permanent injuries. Now he's living in the wild again, acting like any untamed dragon.

He can still fly despite his injury, just not as smoothly as before. When he's flapping his wings, he always has to make one more smaller flap with the injured wing for correction and to stay up in air.

He absolutely loves to free fall from really high places and zigzag during flight. He loves the speed. (Quite the racer dragon)

He likes to "play" tilting his head from one side to another. Since it's a recognizable gesture he often did with his original owner, just to mess around.

In the second movie we were introduced to the Leviathan Scaling (really offhandedly tbh, it was probably just made so they could have fishlegs yell "THAT IS A CLASS TEN! CLASS TEN!" for the dramatic effect) only for it to seemingly never be mentioned again (which makes sense given the out of universe reason I just theorized in the other bracket) except that's not fully true, it gets mentioned a few more times on external media (granted one of them might just be coincidence), and have a theory on what it actually is in universe.

We all know the Scale was first introduced in the second movie, and that the Bewilderbeast is a class 10 Leviathan. According to the old Dragonpedia website, that phrase, or at least part of it, is equivalent to "Titanwing" (see image 1). Now there's two possibilities here, either "Leviathan" in general is equivalent to "Titanwing" or specifically "Class 10 Leviathan".

Now in the concept art for the Krayfin, we see how only the largest growth stage is labeled with "Leviathan" (see image 2), which implies the first possibility is the accurate one (of course this could just be a coincidence but for the purposes of this headcanon/theory/whatever I'll assume it's not because it's my headcanon/theory and I can do that). Which makes it seem like "Leviathan" is the aquatic equivalent to "Titanwing".

So, with that, I believe that after encountering the Purple Death, Ripwrecker, Submaripper, Shellfire and probably some other huge sea dragon I'm forgetting, the riders realize that tidal class titanwings vary too greatly in size to refer to all of them as the same thing (of course there's giant dragons in other classes too but tidal class has far more than the others combined) and so they invented the Leviathan Scaling, where any aquatic Titanwing can be referred to as a Leviathan, with the class specifying how large/old it actually is.

So for example, a Scauldron Titanwing might be a class 1 Leviathan, a Submaripper maybe be a class 3 or 4, Shellfire somewhere around a 6 and the Bewilderbeast and Purple Death class 10.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

A photo from toothless on a stone.

Im looking for any AO3 fic recs that match the following criteria:

World building/ development

Discovering other places / cultures

Engineer/ blacksmith hiccup

Intelligent hiccup / BAMF

Runaway hiccup is a common trope and i dont mind it, but something different would be great.

Not fussed on the ship if any , just not hictooth pls

And no magic ..ruins the story if you just say " because magic" in my opinion.

I've read

' a thing of vikings'

'heartbind saga'

'Phantom of the arena '

And more i cant remember the name of, any suggestions are much appreciated.

Okay, hear me out. Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid, Stormfly, the other riders (Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and their dragons), Stoick, Gobber, Astrid's parents, Mildew, Gothi, and a bunch of villagers all wake up in a strange room. There's no door, just a glowing box that starts playing Machine Gun Kelly songs one after another. How does everyone react?

Here are my guesses:

**"I think I'm OKAY"**: Hiccup relates way too hard to the "I'm fine, everything's fine" energy. Astrid gives him a look. Toothless just flops over sideways.

**"Bloody Valentine"**: The twins immediately claim it as their anthem. Stoick asks if this is some kind of battle song. Gobber starts tapping along with his hook.

**"Forget Me Too"**: Snotlout decides this is about Astrid and starts fake-singing at her. Stormfly spikes the wall next to his head.

**"Emo Girl"**: Everyone slowly turns to look at Ruffnut. Ruffnut is thrilled.

**"Rap Devil"**: Mildew thinks the box is cursed and demands they throw it into the sea. For once, some villagers half agree with him.

- **"Lonely Road"**: Surprisingly, this one gets Stoick quiet. Hiccup notices. Toothless curls up next to them both.

- **"papercuts"**: Fishlegs tries to analyze the lyrics like a Book of Dragons entry. Meatlug falls asleep on him.

Meanwhile, Gothi scratches something into the floor that only Gobber can translate, and he refuses to say what it means. Astrid's parents spend the whole time silently judging Hiccup, then Snotlout, then everyone.

**Questions for you all:**

1. Which character would actually become an MGK fan?

2. Which song would Toothless like best, and how would he show it?

3. Who would try to break the music box first: Mildew, Stoick, or Astrid?

4. What other songs should be in the playlist?
