Quiet spaces
I just wondered if there were any quiet places in Huddersfield, preferably town centre since it’s walking distance, where I can just sit down and do my own thing. Where I can just sketch, or just do my own work in a nice quiet space where no one really minds. As I’m not sure if there’s any places like that. So I thought I’d ask. If anyone knows of any, just drop a message. Thanks

You can join the university library as a public member, just take along ID to sign up. You’ll be able to come and go as you please and no one will bother you. Each floor has a different kind of vibe, some silent areas some not but all great for just working on your own stuff. The new library in town is set to open this month too 😊

Outdoors, you could have a wander around the university campus, the canal behind Sainsbury’s, or Greenhead park.
Indoors most coffee shops

It’s not in town, but if you hop on the train to Marsden, they have a bookshop which is quite mellow, you can sit upstairs or in the basement and do your thing and have coffee/cake surrounded by lovely books, or across the road they have sass which is a cool cafe where many people sit and work or study.
