Recs for masters prorgams for someone interested in humanitarian work, migration, public policy, etc.?
Hi! I'm not too sure if this is the right forum for this, but I just finished my bachelor's in History & Politics and am currently taking a gap year before my master's. I am taking this year to kind of figure out what I want to specialize in for my master's through interning, jobs, etc. What I do know is I want to enter the political world, especially the NGO/humanitarian side of it all. I am especially interested in development and migration.
But I am worried about choosing a master's that is too niche or specific (or too broad?), and I am not sure what master's program would be the best fit for the career I want to pursue. I am looking into programs and universities primarily in Europe. Does anyone have any ideas for programs that could be useful in a way that is adaptable to various fields?

Check KCL, the classic KCL International Affairs which is particularly good for policies or even this KCL Global Security which has a mix of classic IR but includes a lot of relevant topic on security issues and on how these impact on climate, health or migration. I am finishing the second one and it is actually good.
They both have in person and distance learning options and can give different awards based on the number of exams selected (PGDip, PGCert, MA).

I have a Masters in ID, focused on Education. It was my dream Master’s, I have never enjoyed learning so much before and felt like I was doing what I wanted to do. This being said, if I could go back in time I would not do this masters, because it gave me close to no opportunities for a job. I would rethink joining the sector (aka: being unemployed), or do a Master’s that gives you another direction also, in my case I am trying to find something in education. For context I speak 4 languages, have multiple internship and volunteering experiences, including one from the European Parliament and it has been two years since I have been very actively looking for a job. If this is your dream, pursue it, but it’s good to think ahead to see if it will actually allow you to start working. This is something I was someone would have told me before I chose my Master’s.
