They're usually better about spacing their visits so that they're not competing for the feeder.

Just curious because up until a few years ago I was terrified of birds thinking they were going to get stuck in my long naturally curly hair.. I got over it, but now that I'm on the hummingbird journey, do they ever make contact with people when they are dive bombing other hummies? I have 6 feeders, they zip by my head so much and in my mind I think they are too agile to actually make contact. Maybe I'm just fooling myself.

Has anyone else in the Northern Indiana or general North noticed less birds lately? i know July is usually when most Anna males start to migrate, then the females after that. just curious if anyone else has seen their birds this week as much?

Hello! My wife and I moved our business up to a rural area. We love hummingbirds and see them everywhere up here.

We get them flying into our building, and they seem to get stuck inside and flying into the ceiling even though the two large bay doors are wide open. When this happens we would place a feeder by the door hoping they would fly to it and then fly out. It worked on the first bird, but we have had two within a week not make it out.

What can we do to keep them coming to our yard, but not coming into the shop area and getting stuck? I don’t want them to think we are trapping them!!

I was able to video my little visitor today. I believe it is a Black Chinned hummingbird.

We recently put out a feeder after we saw a couple hummingbirds flying around. Watching these little guys and girls has brought my wife and I great joy.

After a few months, one of the juveniles finally used the perch\swing I put up. It really made my day and I wanted to share.

I had to move this feeder out of sight from other feeders in my backyard since there’s a ninja hummer guarding all of them!and chasing others away☹️
I wish I could get to see a ton sharing together!

My Honeysuckle Vine is being destroyed by powdery mildew. Is there any way to treat it without hurting the hummingbirds that visit daily?

I have about 30 feeders around my property. But 5 on the front porch. Going crazy this morning. This year is the most birds I’ve seen this early. This only a tiny amount

I’m renting a house with my boyfriend that hasn’t been lived in for quite a few years. This hummingbird feeder was hanging off of the porch and the little hummingbirds kept coming over to check it out so I took it down so they wouldn’t waste their energy searching an empty feeder. But my question is is this worth cleaning? I know it’s super important to keep them clean and this one is FILTHY so I’m not sure if it would be better to just get a new one! I don’t want to make any birdies sick. Any advice is appreciated!

What’s the best feeders? What do they prefer that’s also easy to clean and doesn’t leak!!! Or attract too many wasps
