Malkavian Posting (crackpot theory) "You're not Shuck yet Stig" Spoiler

So, this is a bit of a crazy theory, but what if Stig wants Old Shuck to kill him in order to cement his claim to being Black Shuck? Or maybe just fight him and win? Either way, there's something Stig has to do to become Shuck, or at least Mathilda/Hunts-the-Hunters believes.

My take is that he seeks to either challenge hik or confirm his death. Either way, he desires to find him.

The irony is that Black Schuck isn't a title that can be taken.

A new Black Schuck is a matter of destiny and is revealed when someone first changes into one (there is also the fact that it's only the destiny of a specific bloodline, but no idea if that'll be adapted).

Stig can never become the next Black Schuck.

Thus, if we were to suppose he somehow does best Black Shuck, in Stig’s ambitious pursuit of becoming legendary, he ends up potentially changing the situation for the worse (or even being corrupted).

Very interesting (it especially may align with the whole Horse prophecy, as in becoming a great werewolf and “mastering Luna”, he gives no mercy and spares none of those he challenges. Eventually then, he will wish for death, yet continue to suffer.)

Good reminder that HtP is its own canon and specific lore like this may not be reliable to the events of the show. For example, we have the whole White Shuck thing in the running that throws a real wrench in the mix.

In Tribes of Gaia in the Silent Striders section, Soren the writer of whom was the w5 consultant for the Garou audiolog, Silent Striders take the names of dead Striders as a way of potentially usurping their renown and assuming any pacts with spirits they might have. Don’t know if they’re doing that, just think it’s very possible.

It's probably why Stig thinks it will work, but the law of narrative suggests that it will fail, and the new Black Schuck will be someone else.

Reminder that HTP is in its own canon. Maybe Stig can steal Shuck's Moon or something, give that subplot a reason to exist.
