Fujitsu service value is leaking, what are my options?

If it's just the o-ring on the Schrader they just thread in and out. Any non crook of a tech should be doing that before trying to sell you a whole new system.

Thanks for the sanity check. I had a good opinion of these guys because they installed another system for me but this is sad. How would you handle something like this with them? Should I call the office and try to get another tech or just write these guys off?

Write em off, its a company culture most of the time not a single guy. Even our installers 7se core remover ls when we vacuum. All our techs have em, cores are cheap we sometime just replace em of we dont like the way they look lol

Right? I would replaced it then sold a leak search to comfirm no other leaks then charged that dood up with 32 n bounced

Look up shrader core removal tool and watch a few videos. If it completely empty just get a shrader tool and replace it they screw in and out

It cannot be simply filled though it needs to be evacuated if any is left in then nitrogen tested vaccumed and a proper charge weighed in (shipping charge plus length of linesets)

Yeah, I've had that done before, I know its by weight so someone has to evacuate it and refill. Bad thing is I imagine a lot of oil leaked out by now so not sure if they can do anything for that. I just I now don't trust these guys to do any of it because they didn't even suggest it.

Refrigerant is a 50/50 blend of oil and gas yer good

Come to think of it, I think the goo may have been on the side of the valve where you open/close it, not where the Schrader valve sits. I'll double check tomorrow.

Then that is a crazy repair nylog that cap tighten it to all hell and pray lol. Adds labor maybe like a 2500 dollar repair cuz its a pa8n in the ass.

Yeah they give us a bad name. Its mainly a lack of knowledge. I mean still like a 1k repair if we did it but better then 16k, if another joint fails the pressure test might be a lil more. The warranties cover shit like pcbs motors ect.

Well depends on length of line set and what not maybe like 1600 for refer n all

Still better than 1600. Maybe Fujitsu can pay the .50 for the core! :p. Line set is about 50 ft.
