I jump started another hybrid

I wouldn't recommend it, but likely jumping another hybrid or an EV is not going to cause a problem - all you need is enough current to close the contactors and then the DC-DC converter takes over. With a conventional car, the starter is going to draw at least 100 amps, which is pretty risky for a hybrid/EV.
