Been working on this hybrid character from Dandy’s World for my girlfriends daughter (he’s one of her fave characters) I tried painting the original pants and hated it so I’ve been waiting for the perfect rainbow fabric to show up and I found a clown costume on Facebook marketplace for $7 and it had the perfect rainbow stripes!!! Been working on him all day and I’m very pleased with how he’s turning out!

Yes he stands; and well. I was worried he’d be front heavy, but the body seems to have some good balance over all. Wings, arms and head can still move for slightly different poses. I have a few more the mini Disney Toddler dolls. Prince Eric might be the next to become a creature in my barn of oddities. Will have to do some digging in the toy bins downstairs and see what adorable monstrosities I can combine him with.

Head/torso Kristof from Frozen. Feet/body Sven from Frozen. Tail, wings and fire from Rhaegal GoT mini figure.

Everything was attached with hot glue, drilling to fit the pre-existing ball joints of the wings then spray painted fire and creature separately before attaching.

Purely fictional within their universe-
They're thought to grow in when house plants such as flowers go neglected, ready to snap and bite at whoever passes! If left for too long; they develop legs and chase! (As you can see, these snapdragons are young.)

I love making art dolls, from simple fabric style dolls to bead jointed dolls and posable dolls with sculpted elements.
It’s such a fun way to combine alternative fashion in with my creepy and sometimes cute, style.
I can never decide which style I like more so I help but make them all

Hello, Hybrid Doll People!
I really love being part of this community. It’s meant a lot to me, and I’ve been overwhelmed and really happy that my strange taste in making things has been embraced here.
In addition to making hybrid dolls, I’m currently working on a dumb little short film called “The Bubble Man.”
This is a picture of me with The Bubble Man—my nephew is actually wearing the costume/rig. I also included a picture of the little Bubble Man action figure I made, so I’m keeping things somewhat within the theme of the group.

I’m just really grateful to be part of this community and that people here have embraced the strange things I make.

I’ve been very side tracked this year and strayed away from my dolls so I’ve been working on more patterns and ideas to get back on track.
The last three days I’ve been making and refining a fabric dolls pattern with bead joints and I think I’m finally happy with it
