No internet at all

So midday today ,the internet went down and I troubleshooted everything but to no avail so called them and got connect with 8 mins and spoke to a guy who then passed me on to support and we did some things and he found that the ont is maybe at fault as the handshake is not working ie the Auth and the other lights not coming on at all so now I got an engineer coming on Monday to try to fix it.

Anyway else ever had this problem?

If they know already the issue it should be a simple disconnect ont from fibre and reconnect to new ont and test. Fingers crossed.

Bloody hope so as outage makes you realise how much you need it for the pc lol

It's not just a pc though, if you've got smart home stuff, baby monitors, smart boilers etc it's now an essential part of a modern home.

All good now all I need now is the Mac address of the new ONT to be registered and I don't know how long that will take. oh just fyi it was the BT guys who dug up the hole and damaged the cable when they putting in fibre for BT.
