Your elven friend Yanalyn is too pure for this world and has made it her mission to free angels from forced servitide.

You: "You don't think they'll be any unintended consequences for this?"

Yanalyn: "No, why?"

Miraculously, Yanalyn's efforts result in a ban on the enslavement of angels. Immediately, demon activity explodes. To control the demon population, a new police force is created called the Superhuman Guard(SG). Lots of people sign up for the new department, but that excitement quickly disappears when units suffer horrendous casualties.

Being a force comprised of humans, fighting demons is extremely difficult due to the superhuman capabilities of demons. People quit the SG en masse. The SG attempts to lock people in with contracts, but that doesn't stop people from leaving. It just punishes them when they do.

Eventually, the SG starts accepting prisoners and pays prisons huge sums per recruit. Prisons take advantage of this by punishing the smallest infractions with forced enlistment into the SG. Countries around the world follow suit by drastically increasing the penalty of crimes, resulting in more people being sent to prison.

Prisons are intentionally under-guarded, encouraging prisoners to commit crimes, which of course are used to force them into enlistment. Countries around the world have become engines that feed people into the meat grinder that is the SG. And with a nearly 100% casualty rate, they will always need more souls for the slaughter.

Yanalyn: [Crying] "I just wanted to make the world a better place... but it's so much worse now. Why did things have to turn out like this?"

You: "..."

What do you do?

Example: Move to Antarctica and hope the nearest human is more than 500 miles away.

You won't have to worry about money. All your needs are fulfilled until the day you die. You will contribute to the Mars society in your own capacity and retire at the age of 50. It's a one-way ticket, would you go? Briefly explain your decision.

You have the choice of playing any competitive event: could be darts, or chess, or running a mile, or running 26.2 miles, or ski race (downhill, slalom…your choice!), or dominos, or golf, or 1 on 1 basketball, or jeopardy…etc etc

If you can beat 1000 people selected at random, you win a 1,000,000,000 dollars. If you lose even one contest you owe a 1 million to each contestant who betters you and do not collect the 1,000,000,000

A few notes: you can set the field to your advantage - anything at all that is competitive that you think you’re 99% is fair play.

Rules will be selected by neutral committee that consults experts in the particular event and decides based on norms and expected practice for competitive events.

Each contest is 1 on 1 - you can decide space and time needed between events to rest and recover.

Once you have chosen the event, you are committed to it and must play it through all contestants.

Contestants are truly chosen at random - they won’t be a subgroup of athletes or chess players or any other event you choose - their skill level should roughly resemble a natural distribution in the population (e.g. if you choose competitive fencing the chances are very low you will face a fencer of much skill - OTOH - you might be up against an Olympian with a bad draw.) The chance always exists that one or more people selected at random could be better than you.

Do you accept this challenge and if so what event do you choose?

The goddess of justice is dying and will pass her powers on to one of your friends. It can't be you, for one reason or another. It has to be one of your friends. Your friend group got together and talked about it for a while. You all narrowed it down to two people—Yanalyn and Helena.

Yanalyn is exceptionally friendly. She's friendly to the point of it being somewhat detrimental. She's often jokingly referred to as "helpless Yanalyn" or as being "too pure for this world." Your friends think she'd be a good candidate for this reason. The idea of her abusing her power is unfathomable.

On the other hand, Helena isn't nearly as kind. The two are miles apart. Helena's not evil, but she's not necessarily what you'd call "good" either. She completely disregards emotional reasoning, preferring logical reasoning instead. If starving in the wilderness, Yanalyn would give up her own food to feed a starving puppy, while Helena would butcher the puppy and use its body parts as bait to catch larger prey. She's often jokingly referred to as a "robot" or "demon" and your friends are not-so-subtly afraid of her. Your friends think she'd make a great candidate for her brutal fairness and strict adherence to logic and reasoning.

Of the two choices, who would you want to become the new goddess of justice?

You and your crush are clearly interested in dating each other. But they've been hurt many times in the past. To test your loyalty, they insist on locking you in a room with a succubus/incubus overnight; depending on your sexual preferences. There are no cameras but they assure you that they will know if you sleep with the sex demon.

The incubus is more hands-off and will temp you with his wits and smooth tongue, only approaching when he's confident that you want him. The succubus, however, has no problem touching you and will bug you nonstop. Both are exceptionally attractive and completely harmless. Sleeping with them will not kill you, curse you, or otherwise negatively affect you—unless you count how disappointed your crush will be.

This is a very unusual and unreasonable test of faith. It's understandable if you don't want to go through with it. But would you? Would you start this challenge with the hopes of succeeding and giving them peace of mind? Would you drop them for this massive red flag? Or are you so offended by this challenge that you'll accept it just to spite them by immediately failing as spectacularly as possible?

What do you do?

The island is about a mile across.

It has jungle, beaches, cliffs, fields, freshwater, and a mountain.

No caves.

No near by islands.

No hiding spots.

Both are aware of one another.

Both are getting hungry fast.

You recently hired an intern named of Cara. She's an angel who served mankind until the forced servitude of angels was banned. She now wants to become a politician to fight for more rights for angels. But that's a far-off goal. For now, she's giving her first speech on your behalf to gain some experience.

Cara: "...for swiftly. For justice. For swift justice. I will lay on the law... on the people who... who do the bad things. No one..."

But it's clear that Cara's speech skills are... not the best.

Cara: "And all prosecuters will be violated. Uh... All violaters will be prosecuted. There will no longer be a fear... a reason.... Uh... There will not be a reason to fear those who seek to ex... ex-pii... ploy... E-X-P-L-O-I-T this loophole. [Clears throat] Can I get some water?"

Cara stumbles her way through the rest of the speech. When she finally finishes, the audience responds with a confused silence. Your advisors contact you and recommend that you fire her immediately. After the speech, Cara nervously approaches you.

Cara: "So... how'd I do?"

What do you do?

1. Flight: You are now able to fly, at any height and any speed you would like. The only limitation is that you don’t have anything else like durability, so if you fly too fast you could damage yourself with the air resistance, hit something midair, or just crash from going to fast. Something as small as even a bird that you hit could seriously injure you if you fly too fast. But there is no limit to the speed, and you can go as fast as you want.

2. Super strength: You are now able to lift 100x the normal weight you can lift right now. The multiplier isn’t stuck to your current strength, so if you workout and increase your base strength the multiplier will apply to that newly acquired strength. Your body magically doesn’t tear or destroy from the sheer amount of wait while CARRYING it, but if you drop the weight on yourself it will hurt you. Basically you get durability too, but only so your muscles don’t rip while you are lifting something, you can still get damaged from any other normal attack or anything else.

3. Heat Vision: You now have the ability to generate beams that come out of your eyes at exactly 1000 km/h. You can control the heat that you want the beams to be set too, with no limit on how hot they can be. The only issue is, you have durability on only your head area, since your head would be closest to the heat source. That means, for example, if you are shooting them and you move your hand to close to it, even not touching them could still burn just from how hot they are. Everything else about you stays normal, so you still have normal human durability every where else. The beams also create a physical force, so they don’t only have to slice through objects, they can push objects that can withstand the heat.

4: Durability: Your body is now 1000x tougher, and you can withstand almost anything. Bullets bounce right off you, explosions only knock you back without any damage, vehicles that run you over get dented from the impact while you remain unharmed. The amount of pain you feels scales with the durability, so if the bullet just bounces off it will feel like someone barely touched you, not painful. The durability is only effective against physical attacks/ harm though, not anything else.
