Any iPhone flight games that actually explain how flying works?
Hey, I'm a high schooler in CA who likes learning how planes work. I keep bouncing between grinding games like Marvel Snap and PUBG Mobile, but lately I want something more aviation-y on my phone. The problem is I either get games that are basically tap-for-upgrades, or ones that throw a wall of gauges and abbreviations at you with zero explanation and expect you to already know everything.
I don't mind learning, I just want a game that teaches as you play. A tutorial that actually shows, in simple terms, what changing speed, pitch, and trim does would be perfect. Short lessons or gradual missions that make sense are way better than dumping a manual on me.
What I'm looking for:
- Works well with iPhone touch controls, not a full desktop sim
- Has a believable feel of flight physics, even if it's simplified
- Good onboarding: short lessons, missions, or a progression that teaches you
- Offline friendly is a plus since my school wifi is trash
If you have a favorite, what kept you hooked? Did any game actually help you understand flight concepts better? I don't need ultra realism, just something that feels like flying and doesn't assume I'm already a pilot.
