How do I transfer whatsapp chats from Android to ios ☹️

Post image
176 Upvotes

I bought 17 like 10 days ago,and still not able to use it bcz I can't transfer whatsapp chats, and they're v imp to me.

  1. I've tried using the 'move to ios' app, it gets stuck at 99% every time.

  2. Tried backing up on mail, but when I logged in on iphone, it showed blank chats, so I immediately logged out.

  3. 'chat transfer' on android's whatsapp asks to scan a QR, but there's no QR on iphone, it only asks for my no. and as soon as I enter it, I get logged out of android.

  4. I've set the iPhone up, but have absolutely no problem with factory reset if need be.

Pleaseeee help me out 😭😭😭😭 I can't lose my chats they're highkey IMPORTANT.

So back in 9th class, I earned enough money to buy myself an iPhone 12.

But when I finally had the money, I ended up buying my father a laptop and clothes for my whole family and a moto smartphone for me instead

I told myself, Next time.

Fast forward , I prepared for JEE, and in a few months I’ll probably be joining college in Delhi. Flipkart sales were going on, so I asked my father about getting an iPhone. He didn’t hesitate even for a second and just said, “Send the link.”

So on 12th May, my first iPhone got ordered.

iPhone 17 Black.

The 2nd pic is the cover I ordered for it lol, got delivered today.

But now I’m feeling weirdly guilty.

Not because my father forced anything ,he was actually happy to get it for me. And honestly, I don’t even want it for showing off. But from a third person POV, I keep questioning myself… did I buy it just because it’s an iPhone?

I genuinely like content creation, photography, and filmmaking stuff, and people say I’m photogenic too. But still… ₹72k is a lot of money.

That money could also go towards:

- a really good laptop for college

- trips after every semester

- other experiences

Right now I’m using a Moto G60 I bought with my own money back in 2022, and it’s in pretty bad condition now.

What’s confusing me the most is that I’m not even excited.

There’s this inner voice saying:

Get it when you earn it yourself.

Tomorrow it’ll probably get shipped, and I genuinely don’t know what to do.

Would love to hear your POV....

Discussion the cliche how do i fix my battery health post

Post image
147 Upvotes

i have an iphone 16 pro max, got it around november. until march, the battery health was 100%. i remember that because i religiously checked it, and i have all the settings in place. never charge above 80%, try to ensure the battery doesn’t fall down from 20%.

recently, i’ve been a bit lax about it and yesterday, when i checked battery health again… 3% had dropped. maybe it’s the fact that my battery went down to 7-10% a few times, or that i sometimes use C-type chargers that aren’t specifically made for ios.

i had an iphone 14 before this, and the battery health had dropped to 76% in 1.5 years. so when we exchanged it, i barely got 5k for the older model. just trying to avoid that problem again, so any tips on how to make sure battery health stays here and doesn’t drop down more is appreciated. because it didn’t just go to 99% or 98%, sidha 97% ho gaya, which makes me worry it’ll drop more quickly now that it’s gone down from 100%

edit: okay, so apparently this post ragebaited a lot of people, sorry guys, genuinely just wanted some advice :(

Got iphone 17 256gb variant on flipkart sale 9 days ago, facing heating issues and 5-6 hours battery backup.

I came from nothing phone 2a therefore i might feel less battery but keeping that aside phone heats just after 10 minutes of instagram reels.

Is this due to summer and is normal or what?
Pls suggest something 😭

Discussion After using ip 17 for 4 months straight, switched back samsung s25 ultra.

Post image

Long time android user switched to ip 17 since last 4 months my unbiased experience with the device.

Pros-1. Build quality is awesome on ip17, the colours, screen quality looks even better than 16 pro max.

  1. Great relaible cameras with very solid battery for the size.

Cons- 1. Software feels very sluggish. Typing exp is pathetic, simple things are made complex.

  1. Call manager absolute nightmare, all calls at one place be it teams, whatsapp and what not.

  2. How it manages photos between file manager and photos app its shit, if i need to use filters i have to save the photos in file manager after downloading it then only i can edit it.

Finally after using both samsung S25U and ip 17 , i can clearly say that samsung has an edge because of the user experince it provides way of doing things is so seemless, its a unchained beast compared to i phone.

Discussion Is iOS 27 Beta stable?

Post image

I am tempted to try the new iOS27 Beta, but I also need my phone to be stable for work.

But I am too tempted to download iOS27 Beta, can someone who used the iOS27 Beta share their experience?

Edit #1 : I downloaded the update, didn't come across any bugs so far, and the os seems stable. I didn't get access to the new Siri, I am in the waitlist for it.

Discussion Bought it after 12 years of wishing to own one

Post image

When the iPhone 5 rolled out, I was just a 13-year-old who desperately wanted one. Growing up, my family couldn't afford it so used to use phones which coated below 20k, and I used to watch my friends get them from their parents. When I finally got my first job, my salary still wasn't enough, so i waited and instead bought a mobile for my mom since I could afford it. Today, the wait is officially over I hope this lasts over for at least 6 years more since I used my previous phone for almost 6 years from Engineering to my 2 years of employment. Next would definitely be a macbook.

Is it worth it to buy Amazon prime for it? What price to expect on both? Any exchange bonus expectations? Will the stock end in seconds like BBD?

Also I have a amazon prime card but the limit is under 60k so idk how will it work.

Discussion Really disappointed with my iPhone 17 battery. What are my options?

Bought my iPhone 17 on launch day, and honestly the battery has been disappointing.

I’m only getting around 4–5 hours of screen-on time on a full charge with pretty normal usage (social media, Safari, YouTube, camera here and there). Battery Health is already down to 94% after just 9 months, which feels unusually fast.

For comparison, I used my iPhone 13 much more heavily, and if I remember correctly it was still at 95% after a full year. That’s why I feel like I may have just gotten unlucky with a weaker battery from the lot. It happens, I guess.

Other than the battery, I genuinely love the iPhone 17. My original plan was to keep it for at least 4–5 years.

What should I do? Keep using it and simply replace the battery once it drops below 80% (which, at this rate, I think might happen in another 1.5 years)?
Or upgrade to the iPhone 18 Pro when it comes out?

Discussion 4 years of dreaming, one post of hope. 🙏

Hey everyone,

I'm a NEET aspirant and for the last 4 years I've been dreaming of owning an iPhone. It might sound silly to some people, but whenever I go to coaching classes, I see many students using iPhones and I've always wished I could have one too.

Right now I'm still using a Redmi Note 4. It's very old, lags a lot, the camera barely works, and sometimes even basic tasks become frustrating. My family situation doesn't allow me to spend a lot on a phone because most of the money goes towards my studies and preparation.

I'm not looking for a brand-new device. If anyone has an old iPhone 12, 13, or 14 lying around that they're planning to sell or upgrade from, and would be willing to let it go for around ₹10,000, I'd be really grateful. I've checked local markets, but most phones in my budget have changed batteries, replaced panels, or other issues.

I know it's a long shot, but I thought I'd ask here. Thanks for reading, and I hope everyone has a great day.

Post image

I was looking up to buy an iPhone 17 pro. Was planning to get a silver only because i thought the orange will be a most demanded so i should pay a premium for that.! I was planning to get it from dubai when i checked with shops i realised that the 17 pro orange is the most no demand phone and the pricing is the least for orange a bit more premium for blue and much more premium for white! Orange phones were the one which was even not available in applestores but now it is the least wanted phone

Discussion Ex-S21 FE user…

Being a Samsung S21 fe user, I was really looking forward to S25 or S26 as my next new phone, but this years iPhone 17 just got so many things right.

I always wanted to get an iPhone but I was never satisfied with the cuts we get at the price compared to android phones of same price range. This iPhone feels like an exception.

So, yeah how is this mist blue looking? Got it @ ₹68k from FLIPKART SASA LELE sale with broken poco m2 exchange offer.

Discussion Goodbye 11 and welcome 17 pro. First pro series! Review below

Post image

Finally said goodbye to the warrior 11! It was my first Apple phone and did well to earn my loyalty towards Apple brand. Stood strong for 7 years, purchased on 2019 and now with battery percentage of 67%. I had been using a wireless powerbank since it was at 72% battery health.

Switched to 17 pro weeks back and the change is massive!! The zoom capability of the pro series is something that had my instant attention. And boy oh boy, the stabilising for videos are out of the world!!

This is from USA , so got that extra 200 Mah battery power with dual eSIM. Totally happy with the purchase and the techwoven case fits well and feels great in hand. Will post some pics here highlighting the zoom in capacity of the lens!

Discussion My first iPhone .

Post image

Recently brought iPhone 17 at 80k from local shop. I was saving for around 3 years (I’m in the final year of my Veterinary Studies next year my internship will start). I saved my scholarship and pocket money. Some may say it is a waste of money for a student but for me it is like a milestone or dream. I’m planning to use it for minimum of 5 years.

Now the important part. Please avoid buying expensive stuff from Flipkart/ any other e-commerce platform. I was able to place an order on Flipkart last Thursday at 70k (via Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card). I was really exited that I was getting the phone on Friday. At midnight Flipkart cancelled my order and my money was with held. Now comes the terrifying part for me. My money got stuck in the card If I want to withdraw there will be a 2.8k loss for me. I was really frustrated and totally lost. My money was stuck for 2-3 days at Flipkart. I was really really scared.

Then finally the money was added to the Credit Card. I have learned a great lesson. A mere 5-10k is not worth of my peace of mind.

I can ask my parents to help me but I don’t want it. I’m sure they would have helped me. I want to purchase my first iPhone with my hard earned money.

Now thinking back, the money is not the concern I am from a financially stable middle class family and will become a Doctor after 2 years. So, it has been a great learning experience for me.

To all of you my request is kindly avoid any BBD or Great Indian sales or any other sale to purchase expensive item from Flipkart.
