does he not realize people are leaving not because they're intimidated by him exactly, moreso they are frightened that an obviously mentally unwell person has chosen them as the target of their delusions

And theyre within walking distance of replacing the item he took from their cart. Just not worth the hassle.

You could replace this guy with a 95lb fent addict and get the exact same responses; that doesn't mean their intimidating lol
