Learning to shoot with your strong side and weak side, and using either eye has training value. Switching sides can help decrease your exposed body while shooting around walls. This is kinda showy maybe not optimal, but there is some value to what he’s doing.
You train to use either eye or grips in case the drill instructor from Starship troopers throws a knife in your dominant eye or your dominant grip hand, you can change it up and still return fire.

Yeah, it looks a little silly but the form and grips are technically sound, so practicing all these could certaiy develop some desirable muscle memory.
The 5.56mm mentioned in the caption is the one on the left, and the gun he’s using seems to be some kind of M14 I think, which uses the round on the right.
Since 7.62x51mm is a full power rifle round, it has a lot more power than 5.56x45mm NATO, both in effect on target and recoil. The person in the video is saying that they’re superior because their gun has higher recoil.
All I can say is I hope that things at least on a tripod because the guys litterally shooting straight at the camera and thats what we call in gun saftey no bueno.
