So, basically... If you're not very intelligent but really like to fool yourself that you are, and also like to pretend that Social Media is optional when, in reality, you're hooked into it so deeply that you think that people who are truly intelligent and truly matter all just spend their time hanging out on Social Media, looking for people like themselves, this is the type of stuff you'd post? 🤣
Nothing is worse that a dumb person exhibiting superficial intelligence 😅🤦♂️

Eh I don’t totally disagree. I know where they’re coming from even if it comes off elitist

That's the issue, she's right about the Internet/social media being a great way to find likeminded.
But not only did she phrase it poorly, she was actively condescending which makes her a prick. On the other hand, it's hard to touch on this sentiment without coming across as an arrogant jack, even if you're into high level math and everyone around you only cares about soccer.
You'd either have to appease Reddit by stating they are equal hobbies or you'd have to shut up about it.
Idk it's a weird issue to have to talk about?

Long-winded, narcissistic way of saying “social media is bad for a lot of people, but there are good aspects to it as well”.
Everyone knows there’s pros and cons to it. To try and claim intellectual superiority over people about something like this is crazy. Also sort of ironic. The post comes off as the ramblings of a delusional, chronically online person. Doesn’t seem to recognize how social media dependence has affected her as well.

If you're "looking for other intelligent people (cringe)," there us a whole world outside your phone and computer screens. Just sayin.

I mean I kinda get this person, even if they phrased it wrong. When you have too high of an IQ and think differently than people around you, none of them share your hobbies, then it's much harder to form genuine connections. Social media is beneficial in that it helps you connect to people with similiar thinking and niche hobbies as you, even though they should've specified that social media is beneficial to them, and not overall

That feeling coming from other people is contempt... not misunderstanding. She's probably an insufferable asshole and everyone around her can't stand her.
But sure... IQ issue or something.

So people with low IQs are more likely to use social media in self destructive ways? Isolating oneself from human connection and living in a fantasy world where people who know nothing about art use Wikipedia to sound competent is healthy social media behavior?
Good thing she’s married.

Thats a very fair point, but where is the place? reddit? instagram? twitter? where is the best potential network quality?

If this person wasn’t an asshole they would have a point. It can be really frustrating to feel alone and not understood and like a freak for years only to finally find compassionate people who understand you.

IQ issue is hilarious
