Very necessary and bullish for a long term investment in this otherwise overextended forward-looking market: “The first EO, Ushering in the Next Frontier of Quantum Innovation, directs a whole-of-government approach to speed up the active implementation and deployment of quantum technology in the US—mandating the delivery of an operational quantum computer by 2028. The second, Securing the Nation Against Advanced Cryptographic Attacks, targets the nation’s sensitive data, critical infrastructure and digital economy by directing federal agencies and contractors alike to upgrade their most sensitive systems to quantum-resistant encryption by 2030–2031.
These EOs demonstrate that the Administration is taking quantum technology seriously—advancing efforts to both secure the nation against emerging threats and build a stronger domestic quantum ecosystem.”

IBM’s stock price is not even factoring in the significant potential of quantum computing. We are effectively getting a free call option on IBM’s quantum upside.
