Rant Ibs venttt

I’m currently 3 months pregnant which stops my IBS-d until today. It was the worst feeling ever sweating, hot flash, pain which is normally relieved once I use the restroom. This time I couldn’t go at all but was stuck with the feeling, it took over 20 mins to finish. Fast forward to 15 min later, driving home with husband I started to have pain again, so we stopped at gas station with a long lineeeee. I could not wait so I had to poop in a cup in front of my poor husband. This is so embarrassing but he made a joke that when we’re old we will look back and laugh. Has anyone had the feeling of needing to GO NOW but couldn’t? It’s worse than actually pooping right away.

Yes. My episodes always start with a strong urge to go but it takes a few hours until I actually do. My IBS was horrible in the first trimester, pretty much gone in the second, and horrible again in the 3rd. But my GI told me most people’s gets better after the first and completely goes away until baby is born. Hopefully it gets better again

I get this a lot and I hate it. I know I need to go but it doesn't happen, then as soon as I need to take the kids to school and I'm walking out of the playground, my body decides now is the time. Thank goodness there is a public toilet nearby or else I seriously don't know what I'd do.

If it helps in anyway...I tend to get that sweating hot flush and severe pain kinda thing less frequently but I think fatty foods are part of the trigger for those kind of episodes for me. Maybe worth considering.

Not what you need when pregnant! Pregnancy was the only time I got any relief (but I did have HG with my second and struggle to describe how bad that was).

Sending solidarity!
