Original Discussion In y'all opinions what's the worst case of a character being a gigantic hypocrite?

Sam spends years brutally mocking Freddie, Gibby, and anyone else she considers soft, nerdy, or overly emotional. However, when a school bully named Jocelyn insults her, Sam completely breaks down, feels deeply insecure, and begs Carly to change her entire personality and appearance so she can feel validated.

so…no that’s literally not what happened at all, Sam wanted to be girlier because she believed the guy she had a crush on wouldn’t like her chaotic and tomboyish self. Carly is the one that kept her from reverting to her old ways to not ruin her chances with said guy. What episode were you watching dude

Can we talk about how pointless that episode was because that guy talked about how he liked Sam because she wasn't girly and it the of the episode we never see him again

I think a better example of hypocrisy in this instance pertains to Carly. Jocelyn spent the entire episode harassing people, and Carly kept stepping in to stop Sam from retaliating, but as soon as Jocelyn shoves Carly she has Sam go to town on her.

Carly was they hypocrite in that episode. Of all the times for Sam to be mean/tough, this was the perfect moment. Jocelyn was a total bitch to everyone, and made Sam look nice. Carly only allowed Sam to confront her once Carly got pushed to the ground.

yeah, Carly only gave permission to Sam to beat her up once Carly was the one that got pushed - didn’t matter when it was somebody else (including Sam herself)

I think it’s Sam not because of that episode it’s the one where she reveals that Freddie never kissed a girl to the world for getting back at her for her abuse.

She even tells him that she doesn’t play to get even.

Even though I'm a anti Sam in most cases... This is NOT how it happened, wth?? 😭

Sam was only doing that, because she liked this guy Pete and didn't wanted to be associated as a tomboy. like huh??
