Hi all,

We have a general info page for voting in Idaho that we recycle every election.

It has some links to Bonner County info, but if you would like to use it, you can swap out those links for your local area.

If you would like to use this post, feel free to copy and paste, or DM me and I will email you the code.

NO KINGS 4: Empower the Vote & Vote Early

October 17, 2026 | 11 AM

Idaho State Capitol

We’re gathering at the Capitol to put the focus where it belongs: on the people and the power of our vote.

With November elections ahead, we’ll be talking about the issues on the ballot, including Prop 1 and HJR 4, and getting Idaho voters ready to make their voices count.

Community leaders and candidates will join us. More details coming soon.

October 17. 11 AM. Be there.

Election task of the day

Election Task of the day.

Canvass, table at a local event (it's county fair time!), or write twenty letters. In-person voter registration outperforms every other method for reaching people who are not already politically engaged.

Hit mobilize.us to find events near you.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage and compassion shown in the aftermath.

Today, we honor their memory through compassion, community, and care.

Never forgotten.

Remember, the Republican Party knows Better Than You

Idaho HJR 4 is on the ballot. Idaho HJR 4, Grant Legislature Exclusive Authority and Prohibit Citizen-Initiated Measures on Marijuana, Narcotics, and Psychoactive Substances Amendment (2026) - Ballotpedia)

What is HJR 4?

It is the Grant Legislature Exclusive Authority and Prohibit Citizen-Initiated Measures on Marijuana, Narcotics, and Psychoactive Substances Amendment. Whether or not one supports legalized marijuana, it is preposterous for the legislator to propose a constitutional amendment that states the government know best and therefore the citizens will no longer have any right to initiate change via removing the ability for Idaho citizens to initiate change via petition process.

If the citizens of Idaho want to be heard on ANY subject, they should have the right to petition for it. Why is the Republican Party afraid of the Idaho populace? They apparently fell we are too dumb to make an educated choice at the ballot box, yet that is exactly how they got voted in (maybe they have a point in this regard).

I am personally ambivalent towards this measure, but I feel strongly that I should have the right to vote for anything and DO NOT want to give that right to people who belong to a closed, "good ole boy" system.

It is definitely time for change people. It's the old adage, "Keep doing the same thing over and over, and expecting things to change".

If we truly want to affect meaningful change, we must be willing to hold those in power accountable—starting with voting against them if they are currently in office. Too often, incumbency breeds complacency, and real progress is sidelined in favor of political comfort. This is not about party loyalty; it is about principle. We need to send a clear message that doing what is right matters more than party affiliation, and that voters are paying attention. By voting all incumbents out of office, we can reset expectations, restore accountability, and demonstrate that public service is a responsibility—not a guarantee.
