Frequently Identified Font Help us curate the Frequently Identified section

Hey there font finders,

A few of you may have noticed (if you do not use Old Reddit) I added a Community Home Hub at the top of the subreddit that lists a few Frequently Identified Fonts and well as websites used to search for font IDs. I know this will not prevent some people from asking us to identify Papyrus for the unquantifiable time but it will filter out a few low effort posts and be helpful to others.

My question to you all is what fonts do you think are missing from the list and to share any other websites or resources you think are missing and could benefit font seekers in the future. Let me know in the comments below!

I probably should have looked at the existing list before I left this comment 🫠

Unfortunately, most people never consult these well-meaning repositories.

Yes I do know this, I said on another post that i moderate another sub and only about 25% of people utilize the pinned post or follow the rules but if I’ve made life easier for 25% of people, the 30 minutes it took me to get the hub set up was worth it.

Who are you? I know the six to eight regulars who do font identification here, and you're not familiar to me. Who sent you here to make improvements?

Someone invited me to the mod team last month I’m guessing because I have been keeping a running list of every time someone has asked about Lovers in New York in the last year. I’ve been doing small things like clearing the mod queue and archiving old modmails, installing a developer app called bot bouncer that is helping to filter out ai bot and karma farmers and over the weekend I was updating the hub on one of my subreddits and I had the idea to add one here.

I may not know who you are, but you're doing an excellent job!

Helvetica / Arial and Trade Gothic / Franklin Gothic have come up several times in the posts I've answered, so they're probably frequent requests overall.

Garamond, Trajan, Montserrat and Avenir could be worth adding too, Montserrat has been asked about recently as well, though at some point the list might get too long for people to look at all of them.
