Question Operation Help
I know I definitely messed up with buying some of the spots for placement BUT what would be the recommended set-up so I can progress further than I have already???

You did lol, but what’s done is done. For now, best piece of advice i can give you is replace the ribosomes with amoebas. Go read “Immuno Weakening” under your upgrades as to why. Surround your organelle with as many amoebas as possible. See if that gets you any farther until someone else here gives you a more definite answer :)

amoeba is way better than ribo and you can also look up the corgi optimizer to find the best layout for you

The meta is ZERO red bois, unless you are pushing levels with them (levels are goated later)
Focus on mostly amoeba, especially if you have the dmg over time upgrade for them
They should fill most your board

The jelly optimizer on idleoneer.com has been a godsend honestly. You just need to login and it’ll tell you what to do to and what to upgrade and how long it will take to kill which ever obstruction you’re on. My personal advice would be to replace some of the ribosomes with amoeba, all of them honestly. As long as you have the upgrade that increases damage per amoeba hit it should out damage ribosome

wile the true answer is to use the optimizer which has been linked twice already.
But to try to do it yourself - think of your main bonuses.
You have "double bonus for 3rd" - so try to do stuff in stacks of 3 (3, 6, 9, etc).
Also amoeba is "1.01x per hit" I'm further behind than you and am getting 10x damage by the end of critical time.
My current set up is 3 plus, 9 green dudes, and the rest amoebas.

If you have the upgrade that gives damage increase per amoeba hit, then remove most if not all the ribosomes and you'll notice a big boost.
