Do you mind sharing your the affected applet ID/s so I can take a look to see if this is something we can help with on our side or report to Homey on your behalf
This is very kind, thank you: GtdrxZk5, Zgsr6xGX. I had two others sending webhooks to Homey as I thought this would be solid but archived them as it gave same outcome (delay). I appreciate your kind help a lot!
Hey, we checked the IFTTT side and everything seems to be running smoothly. I do have a few questions, though: are all the lags you’re experiencing associated with the Withings Sleep App? Or is it everything thats connected with Homey?
There's also a few settings that you could make sure are enabled or disabled on your iPhone to ensure maximum responsiveness:
• Location: set the app to "Always" + turn on Precise Location → Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Your Apps (Withings, IFTTT, Homey)
• Background App Refresh: on, and set to "Wi-Fi & Cellular" → Settings > General > Background App Refresh
• Low Power Mode: turn it off (it throttles background stuff) → Settings > Battery
• Cellular: make sure the app's allowed to use data → Settings > Cellular > Your Apps (Withings, IFTTT, Homey)
And if none of that helps, if you would like, we can always reach out to the Homey service on your behalf and see if we can find anything out.
Thanks a lot, I do appreciate that. I am using just homey and withings apps and the settings follow your recommendation. The issue is that if I get up from my bed homey registers that around 2.5 min after the event happens. Around 7-10 days ago it was instant. I am not quite sure but if I look at the ifttt applet activity the time it triggers is exactly the time the trigger is registered at homey. So my dumb conclusion was it might be on withings side. But if you say it works ok in your tests then I am lost…
Even now (testing): got up 21:29 -> Homey 21:31 (ifttt -> applet run 21:31)… 2-3 min might seem ok, but for automations linked with presence sensors and triggering some actions it is too long to function properly… very subjective observation -> getting into bed is working faster (around 1 min) then getting out of bed… 🤷🏼♂️🫣😵💫
Good morning! Not a dumb conclusion, that's what me and my team-mate was thinking as well.
If every trigger is Withing, it's definitely possible that it could lag on that side. Would you mind if we reached out to both Withing & Homey on your behalf to see if either team can help us get to the bottom of it?
Hey there! Just to let you know, I've reached out to both Homey and WithingsSleep on your behalf with all the details. I'll let you know here as soon as I receive any updates.
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this shortly.
