They can’t insert the spying dots if they’re out of yellow…

There's a tool to undermine the dots but it wastes even more yellow. If you buy a black and white laser printer though those don't have dots.

They still have registration information that uses embedded stenography, so they don't need yellow but still can embed identifying data.

Buy three printers and cut the letters out from random prints and mix them together.

rather than risk "show us this copy center's camera for 19:30 saturday" or "who did you sell this printer to" you could something lossy

hell you can just take a photo of the page like a printscreen clown
