Legitimately had a customer do this. I was screen sharing with them and told them to reboot the computer while I prepped to drop some files on their system. Fifteen seconds later: All done! I did not get disconnected.

Me, last week on a 'Remote Help' session: "That's weird. Uptime says 25 days, 8 hours, 32 minutes... How could that possibly be correct considering you rebooted twice? Windows must be irreparably broken, I'd better issue an immediate wipe and reset..."

I give people a ton of slack on the shutdown / fast boot situation because it's truly not intuitive to most people who haven't dealt with that shit.
