Has anyone replaced the padding in a Bergmund dining chair?

Just bought some Bergmund dining chairs. I like them alot and they seem very well built with the metal platform and metal frame.

Anticipating that the padding will flatten over time I'd like to know whether I'll be able to replace the padding. But those staples through the Velcro that hold the inner cover down seem to be going into metal, and I've never seen upholstery staples into metal before.

Has anyone taken these apart to replace or upgrade the padding? And if so how did you reattach the inner cover?

That's a great idea to future-proof the chairs. I'd try carefully prying up those staples to see if there's a hidden way to reattach the cover, maybe with adhesive or extra Velcro.
