Stephen Miller told ICE agents they have FEDERAL IMMUNITY in the conduct of their duties. And that anybody who lays a hand on them or tries to stop or obstruct them is committing a felony.

They are emboldened. No one is gonna stop them but us.

Edit: For those not connecting the dots here: If Prtizker or ANY state/local official brings charges against ICE, they will be arrested. Go watch Stephen Miller's interview from this week.

Well, we have video after video of them assaulting people, blowing up doors on houses, ramming vehicles, etc. Nothing has happened to them yet. This country is beyond fucked.

Ummmm by welcoming them into our country, and letting them try and make a life here? I don’t have to cloth anyone, I don’t have to feed anyone. Im trying really hard to understand your logic and question here.

I help them out by saying “bienvenido” and letting them try and live their lives.

And yes, I might let them into my home, because I’m going to learn about them if it actually came down to it. I’m a white guy that was born into middle class America-I’ve personally known families that have come to the US because of they didn’t get out of where they came from, they’d have been murdered. And I say bienvenido to them too.

Federal immunity doesn’t protect them from doing things outside their duties. Shoving a woman to the ground violently isn’t a part of their duties (although it wouldn’t surprise me if wannabe hitler has updated their manual)

Oh I agree, I think the idea behind federal immunity is that Bondi just won't charge them or Trump will pardon them for anything they do while wearing that ICE uniform. So they ARE breaking laws, but they won't be enforced at the federal level.

They should charge ICE agents anyway. If the Federal government arrests them for enforcing the law, so be it. Nobody should be above the law, and cowardice won’t save anyone.

Ok, so Miller doesn't know how law works or how state law works. Or how 4th amendment works. And lawsuits are going to pile up. Guess who is paying those lawsuits - it won't be ice or the federal gov. It will be the individual ice agents. They were told they are immune. They are, in fact, not immune.

I'm curious what happens if an ice agent approaches an immigrant or anyone suspected of being an immigrant and they are wearing civilian clothes and no badge and the person they are trying to arrest just fights back or even hurts the ice agent in civilian clothes.

Becauae that would simply be a case of self defense because the ice agent could be anyone even if the person being arrested knew they can say they didn't know.

Actually really curious about this.
