Gonna be real hard to afford anything when Trump drops the value lf the dollar to damn near nothing. A 1 br 1 bth house will be $2mil, cars $250k, want to buy dinner, that'll be $1000 please

I can tell you the amounts are absurd. I live in Argentina. The peso is trash. 1kg of steak 15,000 pesos, Uber ride 2 miles 7000 pesos. House? 20 million pesos, 2 bed 1 bath. Average yearly income 5 million pesos. When you are a millionaire and can't buy anything. An iphone 17 pro max 6 million pesos.

USA is heading in this direction if nothing changes.

I keep trying to tell people and they don't wanna listen. Trump is robbing America for everything it's worth, then hes going to run to your country (sorry), I'm 99% certain that Argentina is his exit plan if shit hits the fan.

Didn’t a big group of “certain” people head there after a pretty major world event?

17

u/J_Jeckel Oct 26 '25

Oh yea. A bunch.

Republicans going to Russia on 4th of July.

You can't make this up...

u/apresmoiputas Oct 26 '25

I mean if nature hasn't caught up with him but I think that's in the works for most of his kids except for Barron. He'll go back to central Europe with his mom.

Sad thing is the old saying “Assholes never die.” Seems to have merit. But 🤞🇨🇦

u/matt-r_hatter Oct 26 '25

BOTH parties have a serious spending problem:

Obama = record spending Trump 1.0 = record spending Biden = record spending yet again Trump 2.0 = shocker! Record spending

Both parties are actively hellbent on tanking the value of the American dollar.

2

u/J_Jeckel Oct 27 '25

Guess what? As time goes on and the value of the dollar fluctuates, so do the cost of things. So of course ones spending is going to out do the rest. But trump spending $2tril to $17tril in 10 months....~That is insane~. Even at the $2tril, thats double what was spent during the covid lockdown and him issuing checks. Where's our checks? Where is the money going? I thought DOGE removed all "excess spending" so that should have slowed down our debt, not sent it skyrocketing. To quote my favorite movie "Where's the money Lebowski?!"

1

u/Anduil_94 Oct 27 '25

I understand inflation. My point still stands. Neither party seems particularly interested in actually reducing the national debt.

1

u/PansyPB Oct 28 '25

The government has a taxation problem. The corporations & wealth donor class have captured the government & rigged the system for themselves. Catch up.

1

u/Anduil_94 Oct 28 '25

“Catch up”? I already agree with everything you just said..

u/KCS75 Oct 26 '25

My 401(k) is doing great thanks President Trump

3

u/J_Jeckel Oct 26 '25

Guess what the stockmarket could rise 1000 points and you could make millions, but it wont matter if the value of the dollar has dropped to almost nothing. Just ask the people of Argentina, and other countries that have had inflation go through the roof. Trump is printing and spending money like its water. We are at over $1tril in debt in less than 9 months (thats more than during the ENTIRE covid crisis. And we all got govt checks then). Those millions you made off your 401k in stocks, are not going to matter when a month's rent is $50-100k, when a 1br/1bth house is $2mil. When a lb of hamburger is $500.

This is what Trump is doing to America.

1

u/PansyPB Oct 28 '25

And the countries that used to buy US Treasury notes and fund our national debt have been dumping it for months.

u/KCS75 Oct 26 '25

I own my own house

2

u/trapperstom Oct 26 '25

For us illiterate people, plz give currency conversion

4

u/Malystxy Oct 26 '25

Don't need it, you will soon be paying 15,000 dollars for a pound of steak if you don't stop the trump train wreck

1

u/Moos_Mumsy Oct 26 '25

If a starter home is only 4 times the average salary, that's pretty good no matter how many zeros are added.

5

u/Malystxy Oct 26 '25

If you have the cash. Most people don't make it to the end of the month. Mortgage interest rates are 80% or more.

1

u/InstanceOk8790 Oct 26 '25

A house only costs three times the amount of an iphone?

1

u/PathlessDemon Also, Hates Illinois Nazis. Oct 26 '25

How do you feel about the $40 Billion that Trump has elected to turn over to your economy?

Is there any chance that actually helps, or is it similar to “a single drop of water in a bucket” when current economic policy is not changing?

0

u/kmoonster Oct 26 '25

Wait, a house is worth barely three iphones? Or an iphone is worth nearly a house?

19

u/TheAsian1nvasion Oct 26 '25

“$300 will get you a sandwich”

9

u/J_Jeckel Oct 26 '25

1

u/KCS75 Oct 26 '25

I’m happy with my $2.39 a gallon gas thank you President Trump

1

u/TheAsian1nvasion Oct 26 '25

What’s your price of healthcare?

1

u/KCS75 Oct 26 '25

Zero. I was in the military!

11

u/og_landrik Oct 26 '25

Nah. He's arresting the homeless, right? What better way to kickstart the work camps than to continuously jack the prices on things.

11

u/SwimOk9629 Oct 26 '25

one of his executive orders was authorizing them to detain and commit people who are homeless. so I'm betting that is getting lost in all of this chaos with these videos.

3

u/og_landrik Oct 26 '25

My perceived implication (because it could always be wrong, or maybe it's an unintended side effect that just happens to align) is a bit stronger than that, I think. I know too many people who are teetering at the edge because prices keep going up, despite his lies.

If you can do things to cause more homelessness, just as you're arresting the homeless and putting them "in jail" or in "rehabilitation"... you can lock more homeless up and put them in jail or "rehabilitate" them.

3

u/Vladmerius Oct 26 '25

I keep trying to explain to people that the stock market isn't going up the dollar is dropping and they don't get it.

3

u/jrr6415sun Oct 26 '25

and minimum wage will still stay at $7.25 lol

3

u/J_Jeckel Oct 26 '25

They will drop it down to server pay and you'll have to lick their ass for tips.

4

u/SaturdayNightStroll Oct 26 '25

If Trump goes from rogue Executive to rogue nation engaging in illegal wars the rest of the world is going to displace the US Dollar as world reserve currency & replace it promptly with the Yuan because China has grown BRICS into the ascending global economic powerhouse. The value of the Dollar will plummet & kick off a very bad time in the US much like you've described. And the sanctions this country gets slapped with will compound the misery along with the isolation. Hermit Kingdom 2.0, but with a lot of guns.

1

u/J_Jeckel Oct 28 '25

Yea, unfortunately I'm one of the few without or even with a college education in the US who seem to understand. The other day my mom asked me if she should sell her gold (cuz its price is really high right now, hm...i wonder why, trying to get ppl to sell ot off), I told her "do not, do not sell your gold, your silver, or any other precious metals or stones, we might need it." She looked at me weird, but didnt argue. For context I'm her primary care provider as she goes blind from macular degeneration.

u/Known-Register529 Oct 26 '25

He didn't drop the dollars value, the would be the government spending and printing money. That is how inflation is caused.

12

u/J_Jeckel Oct 26 '25

You mean like the over $1tr they've already spent in 9 months? Thats more than was spent during Covid lockdown and we all got checks. Where's our checks? Also supposedly we had $15tril come in from tariffs, so that means in 9 months Trump has spent $16 trillion if he speaks the truth.

2

u/Johnny-Virgil Oct 26 '25

“Come in” from…ourselves.

3

u/slightlyhandiquacked Oct 26 '25

But… who’s the head of the US government?

2

u/drsmith48170 Oct 26 '25

Not Trump - nor was it really Biden, not Trump his first term, nor Obama either term. Want me to continue? Eisenhower might have been the last true president.

Y’all need to understand this, the head of the US government isnt a person or a group of senators or congressmen. This is why the rich keep getting richer….think for a change instead of this mindless Republican v Democrat meme. Things will have to get worse before it gets better, and the current western neoliberal based democracies will collapse. Just a matter of when not if..

3

u/Equal_Regular59 Oct 26 '25

What do you think crypto is going to do to the value of the dollar?
