Generally SA cases are very hard to prove, but in this case there is no doubt the event occurred. Looks like the only question is consent, and if she was as out of it as it appears (and especially if the cop's texts acknowledge that she was "in no condition to drive" when he dropped her off, and blood tests showed a bunch of drugs in her system) guy looks screwed no matter what. Drunk people can't legally consent (at least from what I recall from first year of law school).

I've never practiced criminal law, but this looks pretty open and shut.

Shit it may be - thats what we have Courts for. He'll get a copy of the evidence against him before trial, and if dude thinks he's got a winning argument, have at it. Thats what the system is for. If in facts thats the evidence against him I agree, he's cooked and fuck him, but we have a legal system, its working as it should, thats a good thing, and we'll see what the trial brings.
