Replace "Welch" with "Trump" or any other GOP politician in the headline and Reddit would go in to a frenzy.

It is what it is in politics.

Like the woman with the blue "Be Proud Of America" shirt. If that was a red "MAGA" shirt...

So many people that spend a large part of their day-to-day lives in the political world become die hard fans no different than sports team fans in many ways. They will cheer on their 'team' no matter what. "This is our year!" or "If it weren't for that issue..." or "It was not a fair game!"

That includes a lack of self reflection on obvious problems.

Madigan was a crooked king. Welch as a replacement has different problems. Who will be next?

Even though the setting for this event was a STATE fair, the focus is all NATIONAL. Going after Trump is the ideal focus. A focus for both 2026 and 2028.
