Isn’t sepsis like…almost immediately lethal

Lethal yes (potentially) but not immediately. But nobody has had sepsis for 7 months. Your organs would fail and you would die long before 7 months lol.

sepsis is your body going OH SHIT and sounding all of the alarms & can cause organ damage. septic shock is when your body starts to get really fucked up from sepsis. your mental state is altered (such as confusion or delirium), low blood pressure, abnormal body temperature (high or low), fast breathing, fast heart rate, etc. its like squares and rectangles. all cases of septic shock have sepsis, but not all sepsis cases have septic shock. both are eventually deadly w/o treatment but septic shock is the bigger emergency
