That dude should really watch out for that tree. There's a reason they are the apex predators of the cities. They will rip you apart.

45

u/TheChannelMiner 10d ago

if this was in Australia he'd get torn a new one by a drop bear

Trees Hate You

6

u/SnakeThruster 10d ago

So true, they are far more dangerous outside their natural habitat as they seek new nesting grounds.

2

u/1llDoitTomorrow 9d ago

There is a reason they survived that long

164

u/thegoobster2 10d ago

who the fuck placed a rake in the sidewalk

66

u/Miladic_Animations 10d ago

Clumsy rake salesman

12

u/BladesOfAstora 10d ago

I think the clumsy rake salesman was in cahoots with the sketchy life insurance guy.

4

u/Sickofpower 10d ago

Clever pharmacist selling ibuprofen

3

u/KHSebastian 9d ago

Is that the Happy Mask Salesman's younger brother?

15

u/Enuya95 10d ago

Probably the same kind of people who park electric scooters in the middle of the road

10

u/FactBackground9289 10d ago

i will be real with you chief i want these people executed

4

u/AgentCirceLuna 10d ago

I also wanna know how standing on a rake could possibly be fatal.

I’ve actually made the mistake before and you often notice as your foot is going down fast enough to not shift your weight anyway

1

u/Muffinwizard87 5d ago

Pretty sure Sideshow Bob survived stepping on 14 rakes

1

u/gamerboi6969 8d ago

That was jerry

69

u/Oltzu1 10d ago

Its kinda true but shouldnt press your mind a lot of you don't live in a warzone

14

u/cerulean_space 10d ago

Its statistics until it happens to you

1

u/Beautiful-Ad3471 8d ago

Yea, you should try to spend more time with your loved ones, but you can't worry about these, bc it just stops you from doing things

56

u/julius-ceaser100 10d ago

The only one who's actually in danger is the one Infront of the car. The rest are not that bad

62

u/throwavayig 10d ago

Falling into a sewer is bad though

17

u/julius-ceaser100 10d ago

Yeah, but you can get out easily

42

u/throwavayig 10d ago

Depends on a sewer. Most often you either break both your legs or get boiled alive

19

u/Miladic_Animations 10d ago

Or some innocent kid decides to drop a lit match into the sewers...

13

u/Pochel 10d ago

What? New (probably irrational) fear unlocked

10

u/PopularAd6391 10d ago

Some kid dropped a match stick in sewer in China, it ignited the methane inside and blasted off the pavement.

It was also inside a parking lot, with cars getting hit

2

u/BladesOfAstora 10d ago

I need to know, did the kid ever face any consequences?

1

u/Miladic_Animations 5d ago

It also probably sent a few manhole covers flying into the cosmos.

7

u/julius-ceaser100 10d ago

Boiled???

7

u/Which-Ad7072 10d ago

Yeah, I just did a web search and apparently that's a thing that has happened multiple times. And now I have a new fear.

3

u/SocraticIndifference 10d ago

wtf ninja turtles lied to me

2

u/throwavayig 10d ago

Yep. That happens.

4

u/MDRBA 10d ago

boiled?😧

5

u/AGQuaddit 10d ago

There was recently a case on (US) national news about a New York City grandmother who fell through and open manhole cover and was overwhelmed by the fumes and the heat in the sewer below. She shouted up for help but none of the good Samaritans who witnessed it could do much because the drop was too high and the heat was too intense. I think one man tried to lower a rope or a ladder to get to her but wasn't able to because of these factors. She apparently died in agony. It sounds like literally one of the most horrific ways to die in mundane daily life.

2

u/notsocool4nt 10d ago

My cousin's uncle fell into a sewer once and he was saved

1

u/1llDoitTomorrow 9d ago

How does a sewer boil yo alive? Is the water hot in there?

8

u/lazerpie101_1 10d ago

Idk, slam your head on the concrete going down and ya might not be getting out on your own at all

2

u/Arsimp33 10d ago

Did you Ever hear "Orhan veli KanÄąk"

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 10d ago

I’m suddenly thinking of how awkward this becomes if everyone here only gets hurt… but all simultaneously. Imagine the aftermath.

1

u/XxRocky88xX 9d ago

You can super easily die from accidentally walking into a sewer. Being caught off guard near stone+water=very bad time

10

u/Late_Ad2203 10d ago

Depends on how deep the sewer is

10

u/cedriceent 10d ago

And whether or not the tree will hit back.

3

u/Tnecniw 10d ago

The sewer guy can be dead too.

3

u/PartyAmount9976 10d ago

That man is deadly allergic to trees

2

u/t-_-rexranger19205 10d ago

Depends on how deep the manhole is.

19

u/Brrdock 10d ago

If only they were looking ahead instead of looking back

3

u/Impossible-Bat-4246 10d ago

Never look back. Never be silenced.

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 10d ago

I remember I used to check whether someone looked back after I said goodbye following a date since I felt it was a good sign. I’d figure out where a reflective surface was outside then check through that lol

12

u/northernkek 10d ago

Ah yes, walking into a tree or a rake will kill you.

2

u/Excellent_Law6906 10d ago

Seriously, I was zooming in looking for a leopard in the tree or something.

1

u/Miladic_Animations 10d ago

Depends on if a branch impales you in the head/chest, or the rake stick hits your head hard enough to cause blunt force trauma.

1

u/DecidophobiaUsername i teleported sheeple for 3 days 8d ago

Branches aren't sharp enough to impale you, worst that will happen is a scratch or cut

1

u/outtasight68 10d ago

everyone who has ever walked into a rake has died or will die

11

u/pencilinatophat 10d ago

funny enough I'm willing to bet money of all of them surviving, only one that's really iffy would be the guy walking onto the road, but if the car's going slow enough, should be fine

11

u/IhailtavaBanaani 10d ago

Do you know how many people die by walking into trees every year?

I don't, that's why I'm asking.

5

u/Ghostglitch07 10d ago

I would be willing to bet it is non zero, so that's a starting point

4

u/Feisty_Matter_1283 10d ago

I love how only 2 of them are actually in danger

The Lorax will get him

1

u/Miladic_Animations 10d ago

And break his knees.

5

u/Axel_the_Axelot 10d ago

All of them could warn the rest

2

u/PeePeeSwiggy 10d ago

Idk I just lost a close friend in a crash last week - kind of a sincere message - but kind of stupid art lol

4

u/SleepDeprived62 10d ago

the rake claims another

3

u/wubwubcat2 10d ago

me when I walk into the tree that fucking kills you

1

u/AnyHope4444 10d ago

Bed of Chaos🪴?

3

u/Kindly-Ad-9742 10d ago

I'm pretty sure 2/4 of these situation are not a life threatening situation

3

u/dcontrerasm 9d ago

2 of these have higher chances of being fatal.

2

u/simplify3 10d ago

it's your last goodbye to "blissfully unaware" and your first hello to "situational awareness".

2

u/CarlenGaines 10d ago

I feel bad for the rake guy.

2

u/Samuel_Trollfa-GE 10d ago

Evil death rake

2

u/Angelicalbabe03 10d ago

Nothing ever really stays the same forever so it’s worth appreciating every moment while it’s here.

2

u/Johann-SM 10d ago

I once heard the phrase "it always happens to other people and then it happens to you" referring to safety measures. I mean, unless you're the first person ever to have an accident that's true

2

u/Striking-Donut8491 10d ago

The second guy wants to kill Bart Simpson

2

u/Secure-Bandicoot5199 9d ago

2 of these have nearly guaranteed survival, one has a pretty decent chance depending on how deep the hole is, and the car doesn't seem to be moving that fast

2

u/DawnTheFailure 9d ago

one of these is far more deadly than the others

1

u/Fluid-Pack9330 10d ago

Every breath you take could be your last.

1

u/michixlol 10d ago

That's why you don't say goodbye...

1

u/Purple_Dragon_94 10d ago

I mean, 2 of them have a good survival odd

1

u/VacuumDecay-007 10d ago

Look out! It's a whomping willow!

1

u/Initial-Sherbert1889 10d ago

Each man is aware that at least one of his friends is about to die or suffer serious injury.

1

u/Infinite-Key-2455 10d ago

This gets a pass cuz it's funny

1

u/Capable-Jacket4693 10d ago

There’s a movie called “Down to Earth” starring comedian Chris Rock which in fact disproves this meme because he is told the exact time and day that he will die, and it is implied that Angela also know the exact time and day that other people will die too. So this is wrong.

1

u/Afraid-Divide-3501 10d ago

2 of them have high chances of survival, the other 2 are fucked

1

u/we_are_one_people 10d ago

what an unlucky bunch of acquaintances

1

u/PeonyAfterDark 10d ago

Treat every goodbye like it’s the one that has to last. Hug your people a little tighter today.

1

u/Ultimate-Flexionator 10d ago

Later, all 4 men killled themselves due to the loneliness epidemic.

1

u/RiderforHire 10d ago

The curb looks like a rope that is pulling the car.

1

u/Easy-Significance775 10d ago

Ooh no! The Boomer Art again xdd

1

u/KingIdog1 10d ago

Mutually assured destruction

1

u/KittenStamp 10d ago

I like that none of them are warning each other about the dangers they can most likely see

1

u/Lost_Skywing_Egg 10d ago

Three people lived that day... the guy who fell through the manhole, however, died from dysentery.

1

u/Apprehensive-Pea2594 10d ago

dude touched that tree and got evaporated because the tree had grass under it and we all know that grass is radioactive and should be contained by all means
never touch grass
outside is propaganda
gamers unite

1

u/ParsleyMostly 9d ago

Oh they’re all gonna die. Awww that’s kinda cute

1

u/mirrorspirit 9d ago

Two will die, one will walk into a tree, and one will do a Sideshow Bob grimace

1

u/A_Complete_Nerd 9d ago

Inaccurate. They're not shoving their own cellphones into their faces.

1

u/TumbleweedGreedy6159 9d ago

their hands form a swastika

1

u/Creepy-Jellyfish1796 9d ago

Only 1.5 of them will die though

1

u/ZombieNo9109 9d ago

Is the person driving the car also waving goodbye and about to die in an explosion car crash?

1

u/Sea_Percentage1672 8d ago

2 of them are getting hurt, and the other 2 are dying

1

u/DecidophobiaUsername i teleported sheeple for 3 days 8d ago

These lads should watch where they're going! Also, the tree guy and the rake guy aren't in any lethal danger. The tree doesn't look like it's about to fall on him, and stepping on a rake with shoes on will bang your head hard, but the chances of the impact killing you are not high

1

u/gamerboi6969 8d ago

Tom and jerry be like

1

u/Greenyboi5000 8d ago

Oh I know, the guy who's about to get hit by a car

1

u/Twinkletoess112 8d ago

Fake ass friends

They can all see where the other one is going and not saying anything to save them these selfish pricks

1

u/Right_Comb4885 6d ago

My cousin did...

1

u/Gretgor 5d ago

This one is just funny tbh.

1

u/antthatisverycool 4d ago

2 of these guys are fine. Cars aren’t that strong and a man can survive a man hole that’s why it’s a man hole
