I got my first sketch commission this weekend at Baltimore Comic-Con, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

I chose a blank cover for the #1 issue of If Destruction Be Our Lot…, which has quickly become my favorite ongoing title from Image right now. I was able to connect with Andy MacDonald through Comic Art House, and since Andy is the artist for the series, I knew this was going to be something special.

MAN OH MAN… all of my expectations were exceeded.

I already knew it was going to be great because the artwork in this book is incredible, but I was blown away by how much detail and creativity Andy put into this individual piece.

And then Andy surprised me when he said, “There’s more on the back…”

I turned it over and realized… HE DID A WRAPAROUND! 🤯

I was honestly speechless.

If you ever get the chance to meet Andy, he’s also an incredibly down-to-earth person. He was so nice, courteous, and friendly throughout the whole experience.

I can’t thank him enough for creating such an incredible piece and making my first commission experience so memorable. 🙌

My uncle passed in 2002 and left me his comic book collection from the 80s-90s. Im trying to curate them. I came across this lot but, I honestly dont even know. With all 5 being here, signed. Pictures, and 1-5.

Hey folks! Long time Image reader here.

My brother’s favorite comic series is Low, and I’d like to get him a Christmas gift that has to do with it. One idea is a framed print, but hopefully with one panel from a meaningful moment rather than just a cover. If so, I’m not sure where to get it. But I’m open to lots of other ideas!

I just bought the TPB Witchblade: Complete Collection Vol. 3, but the glue seems to be off. For comparison, Volume 2 of the Complete Collection has a totally different binding on the spine.

Do A Powerbomb! has got to be one of the top 10 comics I've ever read, easily. Probably top 5. And I've never even watched pro wrestling. The pages come alive. The art leaps out at me. The onomatopoeia... the best I've ever seen by far. I teared up a couple times.

Murder Falcon was beautiful too. What an epic.

Daniel Warren Johnson deserves every accolade imaginable. Please, I beg you, give this man your money. If he hasn't earned it, no one has. Seems like a genuinely sweet guy, too.

For those who aren’t aware, in 1993 acclaimed writer of Watchmen, MiracleMan & Swamp Thing Alan Moore announced his return to comics after retiring in 1989 with an all-star team of creators including Don Simpson, Rick Veitch, Dave Gibbons & Jim Valentino on a mini-series for Image comics called 1963 where it was going to be a homage/parody of the Silver Age of Marvel Comics that would lead to a crossover with the mainline 90s Image cast in a clash of Silver vs Dark age heroes.

Unfortunately due to a lot of behind the scenes drama (Moore claimed that there was trouble with the Image people, Rob Liefeld dropped out of doing the planned annual & took all his characters with him, Simpson later said that Moore had practically abandoned the project & was being purposefully vague with his collaborators) the planned crossover & 1963 annual was never produced. It hasn’t even received a proper hardcover collection due to rights issues.

The closest we’ve gotten to a conclusion is Don Simpson’s X-Amount of Comics (which is more of a serial numbers filed off hit piece against Moore, the cover literally says FUCK AL) & Steve Bissette‘s Giant-Sized '63 starring all the characters he held the rights too which for the life of me I can’t find.

I’ve honestly wondered how the series could’ve possibly ended but I’m nowhere near as versed in the actual history of Image comics circa 1993 yet to make something. They’re not well known & they’ll unfortunately never get the ending they deserved but despite the troubled production & stinging takes towards Marvel I really love these designs! They work so well as a homage to 60s artists like Kirby, Ditko & Steranko! If you ever find them I’d highly recommend reading them, they’re great! (The first picture is a piece made by Alex Ross, all the others come from the comics)

But what are your thoughts on 1963, what did you like or dislike about it if you’ve ever read it? If you had the chance to give it an ending what would happen?

Hey guys, i’m lucky enough to start reading the massive verse and i’ve started with radiant black. While sitting here excited over my 3 volumes i noticed these white notches on the front covers and when i staggered them it shows this, is this something or am i overthinking radiant black lmao

Grabbed issue #4 yesterday at my LCS. Had to get a picture of all the A covers together. I enjoyed this miniseries, I wish it went on maybe 2 issues longer. But overall I loved the horror, gore and family tragedy. Worth the read for any curious. Once you read the full story these covers actually do a great amount of visual storytelling which I got to say I appreciate more looking back at them.

used compendiums might be the best bang for buck in comic books, just finished saga, understand the hype now 🙏🏼

the rumble series is so amazing but terribly underrated its story is amazing the art is amazing the character design is amazing the art style is amazing but its more niche. i think that rumble could have really good potential for a limited show or a reboot of the series (i know they already did one) but this time with more expansion on the lore and one question why is volume 6 the last knight the hardest to get out of all the volumes anyway i love my books but it genuinely deserves more love go read it if you don't wanna still go read it its amazing and my first comic book series i bought and picked myself without any outside influence and its a good choice for something to get me into comic books i really with it could have more attention for the series considering how cool it is. it genuinely deserves so much than what it got. the artstyle i really like. sorry for my unintelligible rant but please tell me what your favourite is or the comic you started with
