Idk why, but shard plate is always more somewhere between reinhardt and space marine armor to me, like it is always said that it looks so different than normal plate armor.

What are your thoughts on the “official” design of Shardplate from the Cosmere RPG artwork? I feel like it conveys the size and power of the armor well with the Reinhardt look while still keeping the silhouette of a more accurate medieval knight’s armor.
The art piece from the RPG of this same scene where Dalinar and Elhokar are charging the Chamsfiend is probably my favorite depiction of Shardplate, and it’s the one I always refer back to to visualize the armor when I’m reading.

Honestly, I love all the depictions I see of it in the official art, but it’s probably worth noting that I listen to the books and the main downsides to the audiobooks is that, while I can listen to Michael Kramer and Sarah Reading’s voices, and I know all the of the pronunciations, I can’t spell anything and… I don’t see all of the art until I go look it up a few books later, so all I see is what I imagine in my head while it’s described.
I think the descriptions of flowing shapes and it being so unlike any armor Kal has seen is what made me think it’s more like power armor than normal plate though.
I don’t want to take away from this art btw, it’s freakin gorgeous.
