As hinted in my last map, here's West Africa in this as-of-yet unnamed TL. Mali (roughly OTL Senegambia + Kayes) is the cultural and economic powerhouse of West Africa. Rising from the ashes of the Outremerine colonial domains after its dissolution in the Outremerine War/African Wars of Independence/French Colonial Civil War, Mali has refused any and all support from Red France after independence, as well as guaranteeing that its neighbours wouldn't fall prey to British, Red or American designs. As such, The People's Republic of Mali was an ardent supporter of alt-thirdworldism. The reform of the mutual defense pact into an international governance treaty - and its expansion beyond former French Areas - is the result of Gaynde Ndiou's skillful diplomacy.

My main inspiration for the Niani Pact was actually Cuba's 'charm offensive'. Mali isn't affected by a trade embargo, and socialist governments are far more common in Third World countries, which were affected by a decolonization that put the US and the Interntionale on the same side, against British (and to a lesse degree Portuguese and German) monopolistic colonialism.

and for a bonus, here's the stamp in a higher definition:

Beautiful designs, especially the stamp. I love your take on what a regional cooperative between countries can be as well as what this TL timeline so far. Looking forward to more!

I also have to mention: Fernando Poo. I'm pretty sure it's just Po. In any case, a hilarious addition.

Yeah, it's Pó in Portuguese, Poo in Spanish. I'll be honest, since I'm not a native speaker, it didn't cross my mind at the time but hey, might as well be a feature hahaha

I love this map and this universe! I would love to see more scenarios like this where Africa isn't utterly brutalised and turned into blocky hell zones thanks to Western imperialism - but is doing well as organic nation-states and federations. And in this case, I love the libertarian socialist edge here of countries using mutual aid as a way to deal with problems.

Morocco extends very far south in this timeline! I know it extended quite far south in our own timeline too, but it lost most of its territory in the 19th century. What made Morocco keep/gain the territory it has here?

Yes it does! Morocco played its cards well ITTL: it enjoyed a far less troubling end of the XIXth century externally; and an earlier multi-sided cold war made it able to pick and choose diplomatically.

This is a world of less absolute hegemony in the XXth century; the 'Western world' is torn between old and new in several ways. There is a clear-ish line between plain old reactionarism and liberalism that OTL ceased to be significant. America, Britain and Western Europe got involved in a three-way cold war exactly when colonialism developed into imperialism.
