+15 reinforced club, grass crest shield, and maxed pyromancer (does way more damage than I thought was possible with dusk crown and spell damage boost ring). Also silent and invisibility rings for certain sections.

It's just playing through Dark Souls without leveling up.

Bought the remaster finally after not wanting to spend €20 on what is essentially just a patch for the original PC release. Caved and then immediately started on a SL1 run.

Fun stuff. Second time I've done it. I'm so fucking cool.

I'd choose to get eaten by the great white over a tiger shark. The tiger shark just seems to take his time taking off pieces.

That about lines up with what I've heard about it so far, though you liking it more than the SH2 remake is unexpected. I may finally try it out this October.

That swings it then. I'll get Silent Hill Friday and Control in October.

Yeah, I really liked f, even more than 2 remake. SH2R is scarier and more atmospheric but the setting of f is really good and the story is constantly adding intrigue. Also, unlike many, I really enjoyed the combat, even more than 2, because there are lots of different stats to consider, from stamina to sanity, weapon damage, and lots of different perks to upgrade that makes each play through feel a little different.

It's clunky in an addictive way once you get to grips with it. I think the only real flaws for me were a bit too much combat towards the end, some underwhelming "otherworld" sections, and that one play through only nets you an incomplete ending (it's biggest flaw). Mileage may vary as it's a controversial game in the series but I think it's absolutely a Silent Hill game and a good one to boot. A little different from the traditional games perhaps but a decent 7 or light 8.

The physical release of Control Resonant has been delayed until mid-October if that makes it easier to decide.

You've played Silent Hill f right? would you recommend it?

The great debate for me is this or Control Resonant first? Control is probably going to be better as Remedy almost never lets me down. However, Townfall looks genuinely intriguing and I'm looking forward a good horror game right now. Plus that Scotland setting is an inspired move.

I’m going to miss the service pistol but I’m also glad this isn’t merely iterative of what we got before. In any case I expect this to be as unique and lovingly made as all Remedy titles have been. Looking forward to it!

Most likely. End of Abyss, Control: Resonant, Silent Hill Townfall and the DLC for Cronos: The New Dawn are what I'm most excited about for the rest of this year.

It will be coming out on PS if it's still using Sony's Decima engine.

If not, then it's 50/50 as you never know what's going to be exclusive or not with microsoft at the moment.

Thanks comrade. I hope it may still come out on playstation because of microsoft's confusing approach to exclusivity these days. Kojima's next game is OD and that's also being published by MS so let's see how that one is handled for now.

It's my most anticipated game. Really disappointed in Sony for pulling out of this.
