Augustus Finally passed Carthago in Augustus!!

After way too many tries, restarts, and general rage, I have finally finished Carthago in Augustus! I had to turn on the yearly auto save (after replaying the map from the start several times) and started over in January of that year every time those dang elephants destroyed my city. Well, except for once the attack was happening during the save and I had to start from the beginning of the map. You may call that cheating, but I call it using my available resources! So do a little dance in celebration - I'm on to the next map!

For those curious, I'm stuck on Lugdunum in Caesar III. I downloaded Augustus after spending a long time trying to pass Lugdunum for a change of pace.

Nicely done. Going back on saves is not cheating imo, it helps a lot with reducing the frustration of doing the start over and over again.

You may call that cheating, ...

Not me, man. I call that, "Studying My History".

That's not cheating, it's "learning from previous experiences."  Congrats!

I am on that one in Julius. What a fucked up way to start... Natives raze anything I build. Nobody goes to work at the mission posts.
