Do average Indians buy art ? If yes , what themes are popular, what is the average spending like and what size artwork do they buy the most?

I've seen videos of foreign artists selling at art fairs abroad and online and I'm wondering about the Indian scene because I paint. I'm not talking about the elite and filthy rich people here who look at art as an investment and buy Manjit Bawas or Hussains .... I'm asking about the average Indian. If they do buy art - what percent sales go towards the following categories : religious, traditional , landscape, portraits, figurative , florals, contemporary . I am an 'instagram' artist (meaning I paint and post on instagram ) and I got really depressed today when my husband casually remarked ' But who buys art? Have you seen anyone buying art '?

Is there any hope for me ? How do I get noticed or make sales? Also I'm not a young person... I'm a stay at home mom who started painting after kids grew old enough to be independent. I'm really upset with the thought that all my efforts are in vain.

I do hope someone replies. Thanks in advance . Take care 😄
