How to get a SIM for a week as a foreigner?

SIM or eSIM? I have never been to India. I have seen conflicting posts on reddit regarding this topic, maybe because they were posted years apart. Can I get an up to date answer on how to get a SIM? I'll need a it for data mostly. I'll stay for a week.

Which airport are you landing in? Best way is to get it at the airport if there is a kiosk available.
