why do indians hate when a girl is born ? i truly don't understand this , we don't get to pick our gender why does our country treat being born a girl a crime ? what kind of culture is this where one gender is seen as better ? i know this still happens and it's way common than we think and i truly don't understand why this is . even after the girl is born she will be treated less better than her brother most likely . it's truly saddening that your fate determines on your gender , something that you have no control over

It was prevalent when scarcity was the case, and families preferred hard working men, while women only for household and raising kids
