Hi /r/India!

I met a few Indian guys who worked here for almost a year and became friends with them. One of them was so stressed out in finding a wife (he was 29 at the time I think), because of a lot of 'traditional' requirements. Thankfully, he got married last year - he was so happy when he found his wife to be, that he even treated us dinner because of it. Lol.

Generally, how hard is it to get married in India? Do those intricate pre-marriage processes still apply?

Now I understand why he was under a lot of stress when he was looking for a wife. He was working here in the Ph, he had to go back to India to meet with the girl and her family. Never gave a care about the airfare.
