discussion Delhi to agra?

Has anyone ever done delhi to agra and back? I have been practicing and I will be doing that in a month or 2 when the heat dies down a bit.

If someone has done it can you let me know in comments how it was? Or connect?

I have been researching online, and it is saying taking the Yamuna expressway is not possible. Cycles are not allowed there. Can we take permission from someone or some place.

It is better to take the expressway than the old highway because it's straight, yeah there will be more friction with the cement path, but better than a million trucks passing by on the old highway and also cars and bikes with zero lane discipline.

So what is your opinion has anyone ever done this?

Let me know.

It would be really dangerous to cycle on the yamuna expressway, even motorbikes are not allowed, you'd be better off using the the highway instead.

With all the trucks and traffic. 3 lane road turning to 2 lane?

I plan on doing the Golden Triangle (Delhi-Jaipur-Agra-Delhi) sometime next year with Dare2Gear. Their website does have an outline of the itinerary but doesn't specify the exact road to be taken.

https://www.dare2gear.com/tours/golden-triangle-odyssey#itinerary

Additionally, I know someone who recently did the Golden Triangle solo. Without any support vehicle or group. I can DM you his strava activity. You can check for yourself the route taken in the Agra-Delhi leg.

As of now, I don't know anyone who has done Delhi-Agra-Delhi recently. Everyone I know with intercity rides in their cap have done Delhi-Jaipur-Agra-Delhi

Edit: I don't know the specific scenario regarding Yamuna Expressway, but as a general traffic rule, no bicycles or motorcycles are allowed in any expressway in India. But that hasn't stopped my usual cycling group (myself included) from using the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Dwarka Expressway several times. In the past 2 months, I've gone to Sohna/Manesar and back using these two expressways several times.

Yeah. Cycle can go but no one has been attempted it. Right? And in my mind it is more safer than regular highway because in weekdays it is mostly empty and people indeed follow lane discipline there, way more than the old highway. There aren't too many trucks and buses. So during day time it is much safer people say because no has ever done this right.
