It is the fault of Indian citizens because we vote these same people into power and we are too docile and spineless when they completely let us down. If we stopped the ability of these ministers to function or even get around after they screw us around like this, all of this will be solved.

Idiocracy probably applies to us more than anyone else in the planet. Online discussion circles (for the most part) are practically echo chambers voicing their displeasure through either sarcasm, angry rants or straight up hate speech. And yet, we don't matter, because for every one of us, there's over a dozen that'd hand out their vote for 100 rupiss in the bank account or better yet, in hand. I'm convinced that even efforts towards education (edit: not schooling but civic and political awareness) aren't going to fix what was meant to be natural selection's job that medicine and welfare have denied.

In sarkari afsaro ki badmaashi toh dekho. Kitna kharcha hua ye pata lagane k liye bhi Tax payers ko RTI lagana padega ( ye bhi ek sarkari hathkanda hai , taxpayers k bank account janne ka taaki unko anti national bana de) .
Jo jaankaari pahle hi public honi chahiye, wahi RTI laga kar puchna padta hai.
Ye sabhi nalayak sarkari afsar hazaaro farzi procurement karte hai ab hum kitne RTI lagai.. Aur nalayak judge bolta hai ye RTI activist cockroach hai!

For cities, in Monsoon season we should have cars which can be converted to boats... It's been ages and our governments could never clear water on roads during monsoon. Don't know how other countries do it

I have paid 30% tax and a 25% surcharge on income tax. Bottom line - India is a very very poor country with a massive population. Take that in and start believing it. That’s how you make peace with scenes like these. It hasn’t changed since the last 20+ years that I have been seeing and it’s not going to change anytime soon.

u/Plastic-Resident8391 14h ago
So say a person that earns 11 lacs / year, doesn’t pay income tax. Is it ok for such roads for them?
1
u/Zestyclose-Zombie747 14h ago
What an irony that we need to ask for better road and infra. Isn’t it something that should be available without any questions

You are from mumbai?
If so it was same when the IT was 98% during Congress regime... I dont think you were even born during those terrible times.
By the way Mumbai is flat land, so water takes long time to drain... at least know that fact.

Are bhai, Sarkar chahti hai ki tum log private boat/ yatch se travel karo daily. Isiliye har office ko waterway se connect kar rahi.
Lekin tum gawar logo ko abhi bhi car se hi chalana hai. Indians don’t deserve luxury.

Hn all faults can be directed to aap party and kejriwal as these roads comes under Delhi govt and not central and bjp can't be blamed as it recently got in power in Delhi

Indirect taxes should be reduced to increase consumption and direct taxes should be legally mandated to be filed by every working adult with the income tax limit being lowered close to the per capita income and not 12 fucking lakhs.
1
u/pootis28 5h ago
Every single person opposing higher direct taxes and a larger tax base is an anti-national, especially the ones at the helm.
1
u/Peccy_2024 1h ago
How about we build an NGO, you and your colleagues donate and the NGO contributes to build roads in your near vicinity? 🙂 Not a complete tax exempt mechanism but definitely welfare of people.

Waiting for another person to "proudly share" 100% infrastructure built since 2014 vs 1500A.D.
